During combat service, the logs of the ships of the 5th squadron wound hundreds of miles throughout the Mediterranean Sea. In the spring and summer, the main grouping of the squadron gathered at the 52nd point in the Es Salum Bay, a real resort. When storm winds began to blow out, the squadron was in a hurry to go to the 5th point and hide from the storm wind behind the island of Kythira. At the 5th point, ships and vessels coming from the Union and leaving for their homeland gathered. On the top photo of the BOD pr. 1134-A "Admiral Makarov".
The 52nd point is the capital of the 5th squadron. For Soviet sailors, this point had several names "Akimovka", "Volobuevka", "Selivanovka" (depending on the squadron commander)
