Sukhoi has fully completed preliminary ground and flight operations under the program of the Advanced Frontline Aviation Complex (PAK FA), also known as the 5th generation fighter.

During the work, all three prototypes were involved, on which bench strength tests, ground testing of fuel systems, etc. were carried out. 16 flights were made on the flight model.

On June 17, the new Sukhoi combat vehicle made a demonstration flight, which was watched by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who visited the LII. Gromov in Zhukovsky near Moscow.

The first ascent into the air PAK FA (T-50) made on January 29 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. Acceptance tests of the flight model were fully completed at the end of March. On April 8, on the An-124 Ruslan military transport aircraft of the Russian Air Force, the first flight prototype of the PAK FA, as well as a complex ground stand, where equipment and systems are being tested to support the flight test program, were delivered to the territory of the Sukhoi Design Bureau in Zhukovsky.

Completion of work on the creation of a 5th generation fighter requires another 30 billion rubles.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation plans at the first stage (starting in 2016) to purchase at least 50 such machines, which should be 2.5-3 times cheaper than their foreign counterparts at a price.
