One of the manufacturers specializing in the production of armored vehicles for the ATO zone is the Kiev firm Praktika. In addition to a wide range of light armored vehicles, the production range includes the Ford F-150 gantruck, designed to "deliver quick" stinging "strikes against enemy units as part of rapid response teams. The website of the Ukrainian armored company also indicates that the armored pickup can be used for reconnaissance and patrolling.

Ford F-150 with hidden booking from the Ukrainian NPO Praktika.

The developers claim that the armor holds the 5.45 mm bullet of the 7N6 cartridge from the AK-74, as well as the 7.62 mm bullet of the 57-N-231 cartridge from the AKM. The body is equipped with loopholes for firing automatic weapons from the rear seat passengers. The inner surface of the bulletproof glasses consists of a special polycarbonate layer that prevents the formation of a fragmentation field - this is the office's own development. In addition to Ford pick-ups, Kiev-based Praktika book cars Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen.

Armored gantrucks Toyota Hilux, prepared by NPO Praktika and creatively rethought at the front.

Now "Praktika" creates armored trucks with the involvement of equipment from foreign manufacturers. Thus, the "Fortress on Wheels" armored car was designed in accordance with the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine "On the procedure for conducting defining departmental tests of a specialized armored truck manufactured on the chassis of the MAZ-6317 vehicle in order to determine the possibility of its acceptance into operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine" … MAZ, let me remind you, is produced in Belarus, which is very friendly to us.

Ukrainian-Belarusian "Fortress on Wheels" (Fortress on Wheels) based on MAZ-6717, armored at the level of PZSA-4, which allows the vehicle to hold an SVD bullet. The Ukrainians have developed a whole family of armored vehicles on the MAZ platform.

Another development of "Praktika" on the Belarusian platform is an armored truck with a hook-type loader of the HIAB company (Finland).

The use of MAZs against the LDNR militia is not unique. Photo report is a confirmation of this.

As you can see, sending to the front in Ukraine is taken very seriously - the cars undergo consecration procedures.

MAZ-537. Ukrainian craftsmen corrected the oversight of Soviet designers and added armor to the tanker. It turned out textured.

UAZ

A real workhorse, ideal for military operations, the UAZ suffers from the lack of at least some kind of booking. Welding specialists working in the name of the ATO, each in his own way solved the problem of "UAZ" vulnerability.

"Tadpole" from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, neatly armored with welded fittings and sheet steel. The result is a cabover gantruck. Note the superior comfort seat with headrest prepared for the shooter. The car was built, presumably, at the Nikolaev diesel locomotive repair plant.

Fast and light UAZ + DShK = killer combination. Only the upper part of the body of the fighters against "terrorists" is protected by armor.

In this case, the modifications are more like a roll cage for roll-over protection. The creators obviously had their own motivation.

Several Ukrainian UAZ vehicles, only partially armored.

The UAZ can be identified in this mini-monster only by its wheels and doors. Welders tried to give the pseudo-armor rational angles.

Again a gantruck on the UAZ platform. Classic with DShK and welded steel corners in front of the radiator and windshield.

GAZ and VAZ

Use "Niva" and VAZ-2102 for military operations? In Ukraine, they do not see this as a problem, and this is what happened.

The design of this combat "Niva" is well thought out. Marks on the windshield hint that someone very tightly put it in the driver.

A completely "rubbish" copy of the VAZ-2102 was not at all according to the instructions.

The primordially Russian "Gazelle" also goes to the needs of the "anti-terrorist operation". Undoubtedly, the find of Ukrainian engineers is to arm vital structural elements with tire tread.
