The Saumur Museum (France) houses an interesting exhibit of armored vehicles - the ELC BIS airborne tank. This is a prototype of a French tank of 1955, designed to move it by air and provide anti-tank cover for French troops. For control and combat use, the tank requires only two people - a driver and a shooter / loader / vehicle commander in one person. Armament - 90 mm D914 cannon with muzzle brake. In addition, the tank is equipped with twin smoke screen grenade launchers from each side of the turret. The driver and commander are located in the turret part of the tank on the sides of the gun; two hatches are made above them in the upper part of the turret. MTO is located at the front of the machine. Chassis - 5 road wheels. Of the features of the airborne tank, we note the rotation of the tank turret - when moving, the tank turret does not have the possibility of horizontal rotation, but when the tank stopped, the tank turret had the ability to rotate in a circle and conduct aimed fire. The tank never entered service; it remained an experimental weapon.

It is known that it was developed on the CC2 chassis.
