Multipurpose mechanized complex for operational deployment of temporary roads, abbreviated as KVD.
Designed for the passage of wheeled and tracked vehicles on difficult and swampy areas of the terrain, as well as on the approaches to crossings and bridges.
The complex consists of two sets, placed on the KamAZ-63501 chassis. Each set, when deployed, puts (and then collects back for further transportation) 50 meters of roadbed. Thus, the entire complex is capable of creating 100 meters of road with a width of 4.6 meters.
The laying time of one set is 5 minutes.
The canvas can be laid both on prepared areas of wetlands (mud) and on soils subject to hydration.
The complex provides the cross-country ability of wheeled vehicles with an axle load of up to 12 tons and tracked vehicles weighing up to 60 tons.
The tests of the HPC complex were carried out in different climatic zones of Russia and on different soils. State tests have been fully completed, at present the complex is entering service with the engineering units of the Russian army.
The efficiency of the HPC complex is estimated very high, since the HPC is able to ensure the advancement of almost any technique on any swampy soils, from sand to clay and black soil. It is very useful when crossing reservoirs with equipment.
All work on paving and assembling the roadbed is fully mechanized.
