The next Victory Day has died down, as always, brightly and festively. A new cycle of history begins. And it begins very soon: on June 22, when it will be 75 years since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. And again, for 5 years, we will remember everything that happened in those tragic years. Without this it is impossible, as the practice of our life has shown.

It is very pleasant to see that the approach to history, the approach to that war has changed. We can say that here we are winning. Gone into oblivion, cursed and spat upon the creations of scum from history such as Rezun and the like. Those who tried in every possible way to humiliate the merits of the Soviet people in that war and, moreover, to present us as aggressors and force us to take the path of repentance before the whole world. It didn't work out.

But two questions arise.

First: do we know everything about that war? Second: is the Great Patriotic War over for us?

I can answer the first question with complete confidence. Of course we don’t know. Yes, the biggest events of that war were taught to us in history lessons. And whoever wanted to - studied it himself. Moscow, blockade of Leningrad, Stalingrad, Kursk Bulge. This is well known.

But a war is made up of many smaller events. But it doesn’t mean less significant. Or less bloody.

May my idol Roman Carmen forgive me from there, but this is the name I want to use for these materials. He created his "Unknown War" for those living in the West, but we want to tell our readers.

In this series of articles, we will talk about just such little-known events. Less well-known than the above-mentioned operations, but no less significant, because the lives and deeds of our soldiers and officers stand behind each one.

On the second question, the great Suvorov said the best in his time.

"The war is not over until the last soldier is buried."

Perhaps Alexander Vasilievich had something else in mind. But in our time, the essence of his words is no less valuable, because thousands of our soldiers and officers are waiting for the moment when they will be found and given all the due honors, burying and, what is most valuable, identifying them.

Identification is the biggest challenge today. Because time spares nothing, not the metal of mortal medallions, not the paper of letters and notes. But fortunately, there are people who are hard at it. And in our materials we will rely on the results of the painstaking work of search engines, with whom we have established close relations.

So the war is not over for us. And, as the poet Robert Rozhdestvensky once said, "this is needed not for the dead, it is needed for the living." And in one of the upcoming materials, we will tell and show how this is possible. For example.

And there is a third point. This is our common problem. Our military graves. For starters, here are photos from the cemetery of German soldiers and prisoners of war in the Kursk region.

And here is the burial place of Hungarian soldiers in Voronezh.

They lie well. I often drive past the Hungarian cemetery in the village of Rudkino. And, I confess, I look at him with a feeling of deepest satisfaction. I am pleased that there are so many of them. For a person who knows the history of the war years in the Voronezh region, the mention of the Hungarians, apart from the gnashing of the teeth, can cause nothing. For in comparison with the Hungarians, the Germans were an example of philanthropy and kindness. This is indeed the case. And many crimes of these executioners were attributed to the Germans for a long time. Because Hungary entered the Warsaw Pact, became our ally.

I do not whitewash the Germans at all, do not think. It's just that the Hungarians were tough on all counts. And now they are lying here.

But God be with them, dead enemies. The fact that everything is so well equipped with them can only cause white envy. Especially when you are faced with things of a slightly different kind.

They say that the Russians do not abandon their own in the war. And I can tell you that there are Russians who do not abandon their own people after the war. And, taking this opportunity, I will tell you, for example, about such Russians.

Here are two Russian people in front of you. Strelkin Viktor Vasilievich and Zhuravlev Alexander Ilyich. Teacher and Chair. And behind them is the work of their hands and souls. Watch and rate.

What you see is created by the efforts of these people. It did not cost the state anything. Everything is done by the hands of Strelkin and his students. I understand that Viktor Vasilyevich is not just a teacher. He is a Teacher, with a capital letter, since he brought up such students.

This is how, by the people, they created a people's memorial to memory. Someone dug, someone brought a tile, someone rebar, someone welded a fence. Zhuravlev took the land out of use and designed it as a memorial. In general, it only remained to give it the appropriate status, which was done.

And it cannot be said that everything was smooth and smooth. Even local residents (some) expressed their dissatisfaction, they say, the bones had been lying in the ground for so many years, and they would have been lying further. There is no need to disturb. And for some reason, the local clergy did not like the proximity of the cross and the red star. But - the memorial stands as its creators did. And it will stand for a long time.

You look at the rows of surnames in the German and Hungarian cemeteries, and it hurts, to be honest, from dry numbers: "And 433 unknown." This is not how it should be.

There are still so many of our soldiers in these fields that it is hard to imagine. Today, excavations are underway again, and the remains of our people are again found. The war for memory continues. And already on June 21 of this year, the next burial will be carried out. New numbers will appear on the commemorative plaques. And, I really hope for the experts from Podolsk, the names will appear. At least a few.

The picture was taken from the place of the next burial. Not far from the memorial.

Search engines from the Kaskad detachment (Moscow region) and Don (Voronezh region) are working.

These are the Russians who never leave their own people. Not during the war, not after. Honor and glory, there is nothing more to say.

* * *

In the next article, I will tell you in detail about the events associated with the "Berlinka" that took place in these places. As well as talk about the "war for the wells", about the tragedy of the 2nd cavalry corps and about many other events that were not previously known as widely as we would like. We will correct the situation. The war is not over.
