Automatic VAGAN

Designed by engineer Vahan Minasyan.

Weapon automation works on the principle of a semi-free shutter, which makes it possible to simplify the design for semi-handicraft production. The weapon can be equipped with a GP-30 grenade launcher, bayonet, optical sight. VAGAN is very similar to MBK-2, since V. Minasyan, while serving in the army, used this machine gun, and it also served as the basis for VAHAN.

K-3 is an Armenian bullpup assault rifle with automatic and semi-automatic fire, as well as fire from an under-barrel grenade launcher. Developed by the Department of Military Industry under the Ministry of Defense of Armenia

History

For the first time, the K-3 assault rifle of caliber 5, 45 was presented to a wide audience in 1996. Despite the fact that the principle of operation of the assault rifle is comparable to the principle of operation of the Kalashnikov assault rifle, its configuration is made in the form of a bullpup system, i.e. the striking mechanism and the magazine are located in the butt behind the trigger. In terms of basic indicators, it is similar to the AK-74, while the Armenian machine gun has a lower price, better accuracy and less recoil. K-3 is mostly made of iron. The design of the assault rifle provides for the installation of a standard PSO-1 optical sight with 4x telescopic magnification, also produced in Armenia. [1]
