The Strategic Missile Forces continue to serve and defend the country, holding back a potential enemy. The troops conduct various training activities, as well as upgrade the materiel and weapons. Since the beginning of October, several news have been received about the progress of the Strategic Missile Forces update and training activities.
On the night of October 1, the regiment of the Yoshkar-Ola Strategic Missile Forces compound, armed with Topol mobile complexes, received an order to move to the indicated area. On alarm, the regiment and other units of the formation that were not participating in the current check were raised. The missilemen were ordered to go to the positional area of the formation and prepare to carry out the following orders. These exercises involved about 3,000 servicemen and up to 200 pieces of equipment of various types, including the Topol mobile ground-based missile systems and a number of auxiliary vehicles.
The purpose of the exercise was to practice the coordinated actions of various units of the regiment, as well as to test the skills of servicemen when working in various conditions. So, the march to the positional area was carried out in the dark, which introduced certain difficulties in the work of the military personnel.
On October 13, a new exercise started, in which the missile regiment of the Tagil compound of the Strategic Missile Forces was involved. The regiment, armed with the Yars complexes, in full force entered the field positions and began to carry out the assigned combat training missions. More than 2 thousand soldiers and officers took part in these exercises. In addition, over 200 units of various equipment were involved.
The press service of the Strategic Missile Forces noted that during the exercises of the Tagil formation, special attention will be paid to practicing countering terrorists. As before, the purpose of the exercise was to work out the interaction of various units and work in various conditions, including difficult ones.
Also, representatives of the Strategic Missile Forces recalled that the Tagil compound is currently operating mobile ground missile systems of the Topol family. At the same time, the re-equipment of the compound is underway, during which the missilemen are mastering the newest Yars complexes. Several days ago, some details of the transfer of missile forces to new equipment were announced.
On October 9, a Single Day of Military Acceptance took place, during which the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the command of the armed forces summed up the supply of weapons and equipment in the past third quarter. According to the published data, in the previous months, the missile forces received a certain amount of new weapons and equipment.
On a single day of military acceptance, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said that in the third quarter of this year, the Strategic Missile Forces received eight intercontinental ballistic missiles of the Yars complex. In addition, serial production and delivery of other components of this complex is underway. Together with the missiles, the Strategic Missile Forces received 12 mobile launchers, 22 combat watch support vehicles, as well as 3 engineering support and camouflage vehicles.
According to Yuri Borisov, the third quarter deliveries made it possible to ensure the fulfillment of 36.4% of the annual plan. Taking into account the latest deliveries made in the last quarter, the share of new weapons and equipment in the missile forces has reached 48%. Thus, the number of new systems is constantly increasing. By the end of the decade, it is planned to completely update the weapons and equipment of the Strategic Missile Forces.
Apparently, by the end of the year, the missile forces will again receive a certain amount of new weapons and equipment, which will further increase the share of new systems and bring the Strategic Missile Forces closer to the successful fulfillment of the assigned tasks.
To ensure the required combat capability of the troops, not only new equipment is required, but also the appropriate training of personnel. On October 20, in Vlasikha, near Moscow, a training camp for the heads of the Strategic Missile Forces bodies for work with personnel began. During this event, it is planned to take stock of the activities of the bodies for work with personnel, as well as evaluate their success in implementing the instructions of the command of the troops and the Minister of Defense. It is also planned to discuss some other issues directly related to work with personnel and other aspects of service in the Strategic Missile Forces.
Strategic missile forces are one of the main tools for ensuring the country's strategic security. In order to preserve and increase their combat effectiveness, these troops need new equipment, specialists with good training, etc. All these tasks are solved by supplying new products of various types, conducting exercises, working with personnel and other methods.
