The Clandestine Extended Range Vehicle (CERV) is a lightweight diesel-electric hybrid vehicle with a top speed of 130 km / h. It is designed for special operations of reconnaissance, support and target designation. CERV has a very quiet movement and is one of the greenest military vehicles. CERV was developed in collaboration with California-based Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide.

The CERV is armed with a 12.7mm machine gun, has no armor and therefore does not provide any protection against small arms. The four-wheel drive vehicle is powered by a Quantum Q-Force Diesel-Electric (JP8) Hybrid Engine. The Q-Force is a hybrid design that uses a 1.4-liter diesel engine paired with a 75 kW generator, which, when combined with a lithium-ion battery, powers a 100 kW DC electric motor. Quantum has developed a unique lightweight body that integrates the Q-Force hybrid drivetrain, weighing only 2267 kg.

A large cargo box is installed at the rear of the vehicle behind the passenger seat. A total of six vehicle prototypes were built for the series of tests under this program. This vehicle has a torque of 6,800 Nm, which allows it to overcome 60 percent climbs and water obstacles 0.8 meters deep. The Q-Force Hybrid Powertrain reduces fuel consumption by up to 25 percent compared to conventional vehicles of the same size and weight, while also significantly reducing carbon emissions and reducing heat signature.

CERV incorporates the latest technology to improve battery performance through the use of new materials and software to ultimately improve performance and range. CERV is certified to carry a range of military transport aircraft and is currently the only certified hybrid vehicle for the Osprey CV-22 tiltrotor. The car has a crew of 4 people.
