"The Russian must die!" - under this slogan the German Nazis invaded Russia. They came to kill tens of millions, and the few remaining to be made slaves.
The Nazis did not spare either women, or the elderly, or children. The Nazis made great strides in their exterminatory policies. The cities, villages and villages liberated by the Red Army turned out to be depopulated. Houses were destroyed along with people, whole villages were driven into barns and burned alive. What the Russians fought for
It must be remembered that the Great Patriotic War was not an ordinary war. In this war, they tried to completely exterminate the Russians. The Germans planned the methods of this development as clearly and in detail as the military operations.
The Nazis were going to exterminate as many "subhumans" as possible. Some were to be evicted and deported further to the east, in fact, to an "open field", which led to the death of the overwhelming majority of "immigrants" who could not immediately build dwellings and provide themselves with food. Moreover, in the more severe natural conditions of the Russian North and East. The remnants of the "natives" who remained in place were to become the slaves of the German colonial masters. They were deprived of science, technology, education and culture. They turned them into primitive "two-legged weapons".
And although the Nazis did not succeed in defeating the USSR, and the Soviet armies defeated the enemy and finished him off in his lair, however, the Nazis were able, albeit partially, to implement the well-planned measures to “clean up” the occupied territory. The cruelty, determination and pedantry of the Nazis was such that, according to the most conservative estimates, every fifth of the 70 million Soviet citizens who were under occupation did not live to see Victory.
The Nazis turned the occupied areas into a giant death camp. When Soviet troops liberated the occupied lands, they were literally depopulated. Terrible things were happening in the occupied territory. Political workers, communists, partisans, underground workers and Jews were killed. Systematic shootings, violence, chronic hunger, lack of medical care and backbreaking labor have resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths in POW camps. The fight against partisans, the policy of terror led to the destruction of thousands of villages and towns. Returning to their homes, Soviet soldiers found gallows on which the bodies of adolescents were swinging, furnaces of giant crematoria, where the bodies of those killed in death camps were burned, the corpses of women and girls who became victims of violence and sadistic inclinations of the Nazis, the bodies of slaughtered children.

"In their moral degradation, the German invaders, having lost their human appearance, have long since fallen to the level of wild beasts."
What is a war of annihilation
It is interesting that in modern Russia, which lost many millions of people in the Great Patriotic War, characters have appeared who justify the fascist invaders and denigrate the underground and partisans. There were publications that say that the Soviet people were happy to meet the German invaders, that life was better under the occupation than under the Soviet regime, that cooperation with the Nazis was preferable to supporting the Stalin regime. Collaborators and traitors are justified. Moreover, the very fact of the Nazi extermination policy is being questioned.
This is a blatant and despicable lie.
Even before the invasion of the USSR, German soldiers and officers were taught and explained that the Slavic-Asian hordes should disappear, give way to the "superior race". That you can safely and safely fall into the hands of a military tribunal to shoot communists, political workers, Jews, wounded soldiers.
How did the invaders act?
A typical example from Baranovichi (a city in Belarus). The infantrymen scattered throughout the city to reap the trophies. After the executions, the German invaders were "having fun". Stopping to rest in one of the villages near Borisov, the soldiers began to catch women and girls who had not guessed to run into the forest and hide. They were taken away for themselves and the gentlemen officers. So they dragged 16-year-old Lyuba Melchukova into the forest. After the officer satisfied his lust, he gave the girl to the soldiers. When new victims were brought into the clearing, they saw a terrible sight. Planks were leaning against the trees, a tortured girl was hanging from them. Her breasts were cut off and nailed to the boards with bayonets, she was dying. In one village alone, 36 women were tortured and killed by Nazi beasts. There were more people who were raped.
Russians - only for destruction
Such monstrous scenes took place wherever the invaders came. Fires, blood, groans and many corpses. Ditches littered with bodies of killed and tortured "subhumans".
In Bialystok, the fascist monsters staged a bloody Jewish pogrom. They started with robbery, ended up with mass executions. People were shot in the city park. The survivors were herded into the central synagogue until it was packed full of frightened and peaceful citizens. The Jews began to sing and pray. The building was doused with gasoline and set on fire. Those who tried to run out were shot, grenades flew through the windows. More than 700 people died in the synagogue.
Ordinary soldiers, officers and senior commanders knew about the war of annihilation in the East. The commander of the 4th Panzer Group as part of Army Group North, General Erich Göpner, in his order, which was read out the night before the offensive, was frank:
"The war against Russia is the most important part of the struggle for the existence of the German people … This struggle must pursue the goal of turning today's Russia into ruins, and therefore it must be fought with unheard-of cruelty."
Together with the Nazis, other Nazis also committed atrocities. For example, Ukrainian.
On June 30, 1941, the Germans took Lvov. The reconnaissance and sabotage battalion "Nachtigall", made up of Ukrainian Nazis, entered the city. They were commanded by Chief Lieutenant Roman Shukhevych, the future commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). Ukrainian nationalists staged such a massacre in Lviv that even experienced German warriors were surprised. Nationalists dragged out of the houses of those who could not evacuate "Muscovites" and Jews, cut them. Women and children were beaten with rifle butts. A real hunt was organized for the Jews. In this, the Ukrainian nationalists were also supported by the German SS men. In the very first days, the Nazis exterminated more than 4 thousand people in the city. Disfigured bodies, mostly women, were laid at the walls of the houses. In the future, new pogroms swept, the number of victims increased even more.
In Western Ukraine, “commissars”, “Muscovites”, Jews and Poles were massacred. Whole villages were destroyed. The Fuhrer's personal protection division, the SS Adolf Hitler, was part of the 1st tank group of General von Kleist, which was advancing in the Kiev direction. Before the invasion of Russia, the soldiers of the elite division were told that the name of the label should be terrifying. The company commanders read the commandments of a new war to the soldiers:
“Break the Russian skull, and you will protect yourself from them forever! You are the unlimited ruler in this country! The life and death of the population is in your hands! We need Russian spaces without Russians!"
In one of the villages near Rovno, the SS troops met strong resistance from the Red Army. It was possible to take the settlement only by bringing up all the tanks and artillery of the division. Angered by the resistance, the Nazis drove several dozen women, children and old people into the square and shot them. The village was burned down. Soon the divisional commander Joseph Dietrich gave the order: do not take prisoners, shoot on the spot. Special teams were created to carry out specific tasks. In the captured settlements, they systematically burned down houses, and smoked grenades of residents who were hiding in basements and shelters. After the SS men there was scorched earth.
However, the SS men often did not even stand out against the general background. The army units were not inferior to them in cruelty. Kleist's group included the 44th Infantry Division. Its soldiers burned and blew up synagogues along with the people who were in them, destroyed state farms, shot prisoners of war, including women.
Inferno came to Soviet soil.
The Nazis occupied the Baltic States so rapidly that few managed to evacuate. So, when the Nazis entered Kaunas, many people were at the bus station, hoping to leave the city. Local Nazis broke into the station and massacred. Old people, women and children were beaten, their heads chopped with iron bars, dragged out into the street and thrown into sewer wells. The Baltic Nazis, just like the Ukrainian nationalists, competed in ferocity with the SS.
Over 4 thousand people were killed in Kaunas in a few days. Then the Germans drove the remaining Jews into the ghetto (a special Jewish quarter, isolated from the rest of the city), promising to save them from the "just wrath" of the Lithuanians. They believed them, almost all the Jews voluntarily packed up their belongings and appeared in the ghetto. By July 11, 7,800 Jews had been killed in Kaunas. The same thing happened in other Baltic cities.
War of civilizations
A wave of this horror reached Leningrad, Moscow and Stalingrad. Thus, the war in the East was fundamentally different from the war in the West.
In Western Europe, Germany fought for leadership within European civilization, a Western project. It was a continuation of the medieval wars for the ownership of the feud.
The war in Russia was of a fundamentally different nature. Its forerunners were the crusades against the Saracens and Slavs. The war was fought not for the right of ownership, but with the aim of completely destroying another, "wrong" civilization and culture. It was an intercivilizational war. Therefore, it took on the character of the total destruction of the Soviet peoples. Civilization is, first of all, its carriers. Therefore, they should have been destroyed, so much so that there would be no more for divorce.

Reichsfuehrer Himmler in March 1941 gathered the highest ranks of the SS in the Wawelsburg castle and named the number of "subhumans" destined for the elimination in the East - 30 million! This was not the final figure, only the first indications. Within a few months, the commander of Army Group South, Field Marshal von Rundstedt, announced that
the Germans must destroy "at least one third of the population of the annexed territories."
Those Soviet citizens who were lucky enough to survive in the "cleansing" of the eastern territories were offered to be turned into wild natives. The Fuhrer intended to liquidate Russian cities, which would simply disappear without state support (construction and repairs, heating, power plants, roads, provision of essential goods, food, etc.). Food policy aimed at chronic malnutrition, hunger of the natives. Training to be kept to a minimum, just so the aborigines understand German road signs. Native sterilization, contraception and abortion. Elimination of health and hygiene. As much alcohol and tobacco as possible, primitive music.
Hitler well noted the importance of popular (mind-numbing) music:
“… All the villagers need is music, music and more music. Cheerful music is a great stimulus for hard work; give them the opportunity to dance, and all the villagers will be grateful to us."
