"Admiral Chabanenko" is the largest surface combat ship transferred to the Russian Navy in the period from 1999 to the present. Full displacement - about 9000 tons. In terms of dimensions, it corresponds to the class "destroyer". The only representative of his project 1155.1. The main difference from the "conventional" BOD pr. 1155 is the modernized armament: 8 Moskit anti-submarine missiles were installed in place of the Rastrub-B anti-submarine missile launchers. In return, the anti-submarine weapons were reinforced with Vodopad rocket torpedoes launched through conventional 533 mm torpedo tubes. Instead of the bow group of artillery mounts, one twin automatic AK-130 was installed. Anti-aircraft artillery is represented by a pair of ZRAK "Kortik" (instead of two batteries of six-barreled AK-630).
