“In this regard, it was decided to install Chinese high-speed engines on the ships under construction - modern, good, of the required power,” Mukhutdinov said. “At the moment, the contract for their supply has already been concluded, and diesel engines of our Chinese partners will be installed on the next ships of Project 22460”.
Chief Designer of the Northern Design Bureau (SPKB) project Alexei Naumov said that power plants of this type in China are manufactured under a German license. "These are products that the Chinese are producing on the basis of German design," he said.
