For construction work, truck cranes are used today. On most modern construction sites, you can see truck cranes that carry out work to lift loads to a certain height. Depending on the length of the boom and the base of the crane, a functional (specific) load capacity is distinguished. It consists in how long it takes a load of a certain mass to be delivered to the height required by the builders.
Today, many companies do not purchase truck cranes, but rent them for the duration of a certain construction campaign. Often it is the rental of truck cranes that allows you to save money.
Cranes of the described type are used for the construction of radar stations, which are based on metal structures. Usually, these structures are delivered to the assembly site, after which the crane operators, welders and other specialists begin the installation work. For dimensional radars, truck cranes with an arrow length of up to 27 meters are used. This length is typical for the so-called telescopic booms, which can be extended in a convenient way for the operator. Hydraulic crane jibs allow metal structures to be delivered to a certain height without any risks.
Truck cranes are often used in the assembly of other military structures. Truck cranes for military purposes in our country are produced on the basis of KamAZ and Ural vehicles. This technique has long established itself as reliable and easy-to-use. In addition to the Urals and KamAZ, there are other platforms for truck cranes. Such platforms can have a wheel arrangement of 8x8, and their cabins are equipped with advanced protective equipment. For example, the tightness of the cabin of a new generation of military truck cranes makes it possible to carry out the necessary work even in contaminated areas.
This opportunity can be used to dismantle barrage structures that the enemy has erected in a certain area of the terrain (also in urban areas).
The presence of several additional lighting elements allows military truck cranes to work in poor visibility conditions, including at night, to ensure continuous operation where it is vital. Such truck cranes are often used by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
