All-terrain vehicle "Arctic" on an air cushion

The all-terrain vehicle was created by Omsk specialists under the Siberian Mechanical Engineering program as an amphibious cargo platform. It is adopted by the Russian Armed Forces. Currently in service with the Ministry of Emergencies. In 2010, the all-terrain vehicle was patented in the state register of inventions.

Unlike standard ships and boats built on an air cushion, all-terrain vehicles "Arktika" can be used not only for movement on the water surface with access to the shore, but also for constant operation on virgin snow, fire or ice surface, tundra at any time of the year …

Advantages:

- full all-terrain vehicle;

- operation at any time of the year;

- large carrying capacity;

- good cruising range;

- high safety (incorporated in the design);

- environmentally friendly and certified;

- more economical in comparison with air carriers;

The next distinguishing characteristic is the cruising (average) speed of movement of 80 km / h. To do this, he does not need to move on the roads, and on a flat surface the speed increases to 140 km / h. The all-terrain vehicle has high mobility and maneuverability over any surface.

Developer and manufacturer of TPTs "SibVPKneftegaz". The all-terrain vehicle was made by order of the TNK-BP company. Carrying capacity of the all-terrain vehicle is 3 tons. Several versions of the all-terrain vehicle, both passenger and cargo, were developed. All-terrain vehicle (VVR) modifications can carry from 8 to 50 passengers and carry cargo from one to five tons. Modifications of the all-terrain vehicle (AGP) can move up to 30 passengers and carry cargo weighing from 15 to 120 tons.

A feature of the all-terrain vehicle is a hydraulically driven driving wheel chassis taken from aircraft.

This hybrid all-terrain vehicle has become a very successful development. Climb angles up to 30 degrees, with aids up to 40 degrees. Safe movement is possible at wind speeds up to 20 m / s. With a full fuel reserve, the cruising range is 1100 kilometers, there are no analogues in this characteristic. And with additional fuel tanks installed, the range will be almost 1.5 thousand kilometers. An example of using an all-terrain vehicle - the all-terrain vehicle covered a distance of 3,000 kilometers in 4 days with two refueling. The operating temperature range is very large, from 40 to -50 degrees. To ensure all-weather use, we used: double window solutions and an internal heating system. From the equipment of the all-terrain vehicle, we note the navigation satellite system and very powerful searchlights. Based on the customer's requirements, it is possible to install additional equipment, for example, a night vision system, a locator, a thermal imager.

To increase stability, all-terrain vehicles received lateral / longitudinal stability systems, and a retractable device that gives the car contact with the surface. Driving an all-terrain vehicle does not require special training and is similar to driving a car.

The safety of movement on water surfaces is ensured by the presence of fully sealed compartments built into the hull and floating blocks containing a non-combustible displacement substance. The buoyancy reserve is 200 percent, which means almost complete unsinkability.

The main body elements are made of titanium and aluminum alloys. The fence is made of special fabric with frost resistance, high strength and wear resistance. Internal compartments are well insulated, heating is provided by installed engines. When the engines are not running, heating comes from special heaters. The equipment of the all-terrain vehicle includes a mobile power plant with a capacity of 1.8 kW. The control system is provided with a redundant system. There is a dry closet inside the passenger compartment. Like any similar technique, it has a set of life-saving equipment.

The installed power unit is one / two (modifications) of the KAMAZ 740.35-400 diesel engine. Power - 400 HP At this time, specially for the TPTs "SibVPKneftegaz", KamAZ produces a diesel engine of increased power of 500 hp, with a reduced fuel consumption.

Combat armored platform "Artika"

Armored unified two-link platform "Artika" caterpillar type is a promising development of the company "Vityaz". For the basis, the chassis of the DT-30P transporter-tractor was taken.

The armored platform is being created as a base for the production of various military equipment in the Arctic. The main technique should be on its basis armored personnel carriers or infantry fighting vehicles. It will be an all-terrain vehicle with installed weapons and equipment, having two articulated modules and transporting equipped infantrymen, motorized riflemen or paratroopers. It is also planned to create almost all types of combat and auxiliary vehicles for use in the harsh conditions of the Far North.

Tracked all-terrain vehicles DT-30P have long won an impeccable reputation, and are used in the most difficult and harsh places, such as wetlands, permafrost zones, conditions of the Far North. It is successfully exploited in their own interests by oilmen, geologists and other representatives of the industry. It is very likely that a promising development will or will be used in conjunction with another development - the Kurganets combat platform.

Two-link (articulated) performance is a very important factor in the performance of an Arctic all-terrain vehicle. The Americans also produce two-link tracked Arctic all-terrain vehicles and have even adopted coastal defense. Such a construction of the machine is practically the only one capable of overcoming difficult arctic zones.

Preliminarily, the Arktika armored platform will receive armor with increased mine protection, an onboard information and control complex system, armament such as coaxial 30mm guns, a modern ATGM system and a state-of-the-art fire control system. By 2015, the Russian military department plans to create the first arctic brigade of motorized riflemen armed with "Arktika".

Today

At this hour, work on the creation of a new combat armored platform has been completely stopped. The main reason is the lack of funding from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Funding for a promising project stopped back in 2011. Now there is a search for free funds in the NPK "Uralvagonzavod", on which the company "Vityaz" is locked.

Another negative factor is the lack of TTZ. The military department still has not provided it to the main developer, although he was provided with all the necessary data and various draft designs and options for the Arktika armored platform.
