The military prosecutor's office in the Central Military District began studying reports from army units that the new uniform "from Yudashkin" was not adapted to the Russian winter. The servicemen complain that it does not save from the frost, in particular, they criticize the new jackets.

Information that the new uniform (winter set "Tsifra") does not hold the cold began to arrive from the very beginning of winter. So, in the 74th motorized rifle brigade, which is stationed in Ugra, frost killed a whole company of servicemen. 129 people, after taking the oath, diagnosed with hypothermia, ended up in the hospital, some of them developed pneumonia.

The first to report this was the South Siberian Human Rights Center and the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers. The question of a new form "from Yudashkin" has already been in the spotlight before, but before that the question of the financial side of developing a new form was raised. Painfully, it came out dearly for the military budget - over 170 million rubles were spent on the creation of samples.

According to the military prosecutor's office, the overwhelming majority of servicemen have a negative attitude towards the new uniform and prefer to wear the old uniform. This information was confirmed by the commander of the Central Military District, Lieutenant General Vladimir Chirkin. And, if this is not possible, then you have to additionally insulate: soldiers wear additional warm clothes under their uniforms. The interviewed servicemen spoke in favor of the need to improve the quality of the material of the uniform, insulation of the lining, and the return of the fur collar of the pea jacket. The mold does not keep the temperature minus 20 degrees and is strongly blown.

The new uniform was created from 2007 to 2010, leading Russian fashion designers, the Central Research Institute of the Garment Industry, and the Central Clothing Department of the Ministry of Defense took part in its development.

What seemed appropriate on the podium and parade did not pass the test of Russian Santa Claus, and he does not like to joke.

Here are some reviews published on the official forum of the Ministry of Defense (https://www.forum-mil.ru/forum/27-406-1):

“I appeal to a representative of the Ministry of Defense: if we want to have a prestigious army, we need to take proper care of the recruits. You yourself have tried to wear a uniform "from Yudashkin" in a harsh continental climate, where -30 with the wind ?! Try it! If you want healthy defenders of the Motherland, so to begin with, develop a uniform not for glamor, but really for service in the harsh climatic conditions of the Urals."
