By the way, the hostel was not very bad and, most importantly, outside the territory of the unit and next to the flight canteen. But one fine day there was a fire in the hostel with a hearth in the room next to the heroes of the story. Since the residents were on flights at that time, the detection of the fire was belated. Lieutenants' belongings also suffered from the fire and its extinguishing. Everyday and ceremonial one fell into disrepair, and the field one was stored in suitcases on the mezzanine and was not damaged. The Pogoreltsy were accommodated in a garrison hotel, where tankers and motorized riflemen lived.
But then autumn has come, and then the inspector's check. And then the aviation was subordinate to the command of the military and the head of the commission arrived "red" general mr. At the end of the day, while lining up in the parking lot, the squadron commander said that tomorrow the final one would start and everyone would arrive at the lane in everyday form. The regiment command mostly knew about the problem of the lieutenants, but the squadron commander was either on vacation or forgotten. The lieutenants tried to hint about the problem with the uniform, but they heard something about luminescence …
On the way to the hotel, the lieutenants had a plan to take a jacket from tankmen with similar dimensions, and use the breeches from the field uniform. Remembering the shoulder straps, we drove into the military shop and bought something. While the process of exchanging jackets for alcohol was going on, night fell. In a quick rebuff and after sewing on shoulder straps, the guys suddenly discovered that the buttonholes were black and with tanks, and there was nowhere to take the blue ones. But since alcohol sharply raised the IQ, they decided to fasten the birds to the black buttonholes, and in the middle of the formation they would not be noticed.
In the morning the guys got dressed and even were able to make fun of themselves - we are now some kind of night aviation. Formation, ballet and the command "To the inspector's survey". Both lieutenants are in the same line, side by side, and a "red" general, a "red" major with papers and our regiment commander come up to them. The general, unfortunately, was not color blind and immediately discovered the inconsistency in the form. Addressing the lieutenants, he menacingly asked "What is this?" And suddenly one of the lieutenants replies: "The crew of the night bomber." The regiment's facial muscles began to form a smile, but the general turned and looked at him questioningly. The commander's facial muscles contracted sharply, and he could only mumble something. The klikukha stuck to the guys until they were transferred to another garrison, their name was "Night bombers"!
