He was sitting at the stern of his new boat. Not as big as before, in his youth. Then every weekend his boat became a refuge for many guests. A huge, diverse, multilingual international. An international of comrades with whom he grew up in the same yard. Life then Nobody knew that by the decision of our regional executive committee the house would be demolished. Everyone will be given separate apartments in different houses. Friendship with someone will continue. With someone he will simply stop meeting. Distances … closest friends, will pour slop on him in their new companies.

He recalled his old team. Their fellows. They were almost invisible on the deck, but the neighbors, even the most aggressive ones, knew that if something happened … The team … They left. Unwillingly. By the will of those who have forbidden to have a boat on the lake. And for a new boat, they became heavy. Literally. And here he is alone.

The eared profile of Sarmat is visible on the bow of the boat. Still a puppy. But a puppy who, judging by his habits, will become a worthy successor of the old Satan's work. The one that has been a thunderstorm for local dogs for many years. Sarmat is half the size of the old husky. But even now I am ready to meet even a bear … And it takes less space on the boat.

The boat was steadily heading straight. Despite the fact that Barguzin has long imbued the air with the smells of the Daurian steppes. Glorious wind this Barguzin. And most importantly, passing. Eastern wind. In summer, he is affectionate in character, although strong. But in the fall, the evil and mighty … Assistant …"

This is an excerpt from a future story or story that I may write. What the hell is not kidding when God sleeps. And I began the article with an "excerpt" simply because we will now focus on the same characters that are mentioned above. True, in a slightly different aspect.

Recently, RIA Novosti published a statement by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, directly concerning these "characters". Rogozin, in particular, spoke about the "Baikal wind" - "Barguzin". About how the work on the creation of this system is going.

Many remember the Soviet Molodets railway systems, which were decommissioned in the 1990s due to the Strategic Offensive Arms Reduction Treaty (START-2). Remember the only rule of the "club of nuclear powers" that has never been broken? Never by anyone? "Well done" (RT-23) owed their appearance to this very rule.

"Never let the enemy destroy your nuclear weapons!" The only way to win a nuclear war is simple. With a sudden blow, demolish the enemy's arsenals, bases and command posts. Deprive the enemy of the opportunity to strike back!

There are two paths that, albeit ghostly, guarantee a retaliatory strike. The easiest way is to have many times more nuclear weapons. So that the enemy simply does not have the opportunity to destroy everything. But the ICBM is a piece product. The cost is enormous. And it is expensive to operate such a product. In addition, it is quite problematic to hide ICBMs from the enemy's "eyes". The mines in which ICBMs are on duty are the most complex structures in themselves. And already at the construction stage they become the object of close attention of the enemy. This means that they are initially vulnerable.

The second way is also known to everyone. Moving ICBMs in stealth mode. To prevent the enemy from determining the location of the missile at a given moment. The most famous example of the application of this storage principle is missile submarines. But they are vulnerable already because dozens, and maybe thousands of "eyes" are watching each boat. Followed everywhere and always.

The Americans took an easier path. They began to simply move ICBMs from site to site by trains (Racetrack). In those moments when we could not see the loading, the missiles were transported to another place. But such transportation is expensive and unsafe. Even just from the point of view of settings and minor problems that inevitably arise after "taking out-lowering".

The Chinese took a different path. There is no need to wait when there are no satellites overhead. Rockets move … through the tunnels. All launchers are included in a whole network of such tunnels and the enemy does not know in which particular mine the missile is today …

And only the USSR created a whole park of ghost trains. In the development of the American and Chinese ideas. Why additional installation costs after relocation? Why setup and customization costs? You just need to use the train as a PU. The idea is simple. But to bring it to life is difficult.

In the early 80s, the development of such trains began. And by 1987, the task was completed. 12 running trains began to move across the expanses of the USSR. Each train had "refrigerated wagons" in the usual design. The three "refrigerators" were actually launchers. Next to the "generator car". Command post consisting of several wagons and a tank with fuel and lubricants. An ordinary freight train, of which there are many at each station every day.

I would also like to tell you about the rocket used by "Well done". ICBM RT-23UTTH (SS-24 Scalpel). Medium-range solid-propellant ICBM. It was launched with the engine off by blowing special gases, had three stages, a range of 10-11 thousand km. Equipped with a multiple warhead with ten individually guided warheads (MIRV). The capacity of each block is 550 kilotons. Length 23.4 meters. Width 2, 41 meters, weight 104, 5 tons. It existed in two modifications: for stationary and mobile basing. Main developer: Dnepropetrovsk Design Bureau "Yuzhnoye". A total of 92 missiles were created. 36 are installed in mines on the territory of Ukraine and 56 in Russia (missiles of both versions).

Railway specialists immediately saw the "weak" side of the combat railway missile system (BZHRK). Heavy. This means that it is limited in movement on the railways. Limited to those roads that are able to "withstand" such a monster. And the classical layout of the carriages did not provide adequate safety. Instead of 4 wheelsets on such "refrigerators" there were 8! And three M-62 locomotives had to "pull" the train …

Further I will write what was said in the report of the American CIA (Washington Tames of 2015-22-10) about our BRZhK. During operation (from 1987 to 1994), satellite systems and field agents established train routes (strictly defined sections of the track), places for a possible launch of ICBMs (up to 200 pieces for each BRZhK), as well as parking places in the interval between combat duty (autonomous operation of the complex for 28 days). BRZhK united in three missile divisions (10th Guards RD (Kostroma region), 52nd RD (Perm Territory), 36th RD (Krasnoyarsk Territory)). Each division has three missile regiments (the BRZhK is indeed a missile regiment according to the staffing table).

To argue about what was, but lost forever, is silly. "Well done" died. But the idea is good. And you can't refuse it. Especially when it became possible to really eliminate the shortcomings of the previous complex. Rocket "Yars" can significantly reduce the weight of the "car".

But first, about the origins of the return of the BRZhK. The United States has long been developing the Prompt Global Strike (Rapid Global Strike) system, which makes it possible to inflict a massive disarming strike with conventional (non-nuclear) weapons on any country within 1 hour, which means that using ICBMs to achieve the effectiveness of a nuclear strike and, possibly, immediately deprive the enemy of the ability to carry out a counterattack. The Russian government did not like the deployment of NATO's missile defense system in Europe. Mobile systems are the answer to this American program.

Dmitry Rogozin announced the possibility of adopting the Barguzin by 2025. With an expected life of up to 2050 … Let's see if these promises are fulfilled?

The Barguzins are equipped with RS-24 Yars solid-propellant ICBMs with a range of 11,500 km, capable of carrying up to 4 MIRVs with a capacity of 150-250 kilotons. The missile is 20 meters long, 2 meters in diameter and weighs 49.6 tons, that is, much less than Molodtsov. This means that the trains intended for their transportation do not exert such pressure on the railroad bed and do not require its reinforcement, and also make it possible to place up to 6 missiles in one train instead of the previous three. Throw tests of these missiles took place in Plesetsk last year. Flight tests are scheduled for 2019. How Yars will be launched has not yet been reported.

By the way, the infrastructure that was once created for Molodtsov has survived and requires some repair. So you can use it. "Light rocket", as I wrote above, as well as new security systems significantly increase the "invisibility" of the complex. Now there are almost no route restrictions.

The only problem, in terms of stealth, is the locomotives. They are not there yet. So, again, three locomotives as a sign of the BRZhK … Again, according to my information, they recently tested something powerful for the railways. OBS intelligence, so to speak … From the series "people say" …

In general, the Barguzins, according to some of our and Western experts, may be ready by 2020-21. It all depends on funding and industry capabilities. So, in terms of Rogozin even a little "tightening".

But readers are probably waiting for a story about the same puppy that sits on the bow of the boat of the hero of my unwritten story. About Sarmat. Will he really grow out of him as a replacement for Satan?

Dmitry Rogozin said that the Russian industry is ready to start producing these missiles if ICBMs are included in the state armaments program until 2025. It is Sarmat (RS-28) that should completely replace the old RS-20 and their versions.

I will not bore the reader of the performance characteristics of missiles. Simply because they are classified and only a strictly limited circle of people knows the true parameters. Weight - 100 tons (Voevoda - 210 tons). Range up to 16,000 km. There is a possibility of delivery of warheads along "non-traditional" routes (including through the South Pole!). It will be able to install a high-precision hypersonic glider "U-71" on the missile, capable of breaking through any air defense. According to information from some of our media outlets, tests of the Sarmats are scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year. Now three missiles without warheads are being tested at the stands in Krasnoyarsk … The Plesetsk cosmodrome is being prepared.

It is much more interesting to read Western media about this miracle rocket. Experience the feeling of patriotism and pride for Russia once again. I will present some points of Western military analytics. This is what Malcolm Davis writes.

“Russian media recently announced that the new RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental missile could penetrate even the most effective American missile defense systems. But how right are they? destroy territory "the size of Kansas or France."

"… the United States has effective space-based early warning systems that detect missile launches. There is no way the Russians will be able to launch a surprise strike by destroying American missiles on the ground and decapitating the political leadership. In any case, the United States always has a sufficient number of submarines at sea. boats with ballistic missiles, which will be able to inflict a crushing blow of retaliation."

If anyone does not understand, the Americans are in a panic. The nuclear triad is practically collapsing. With the advent of Sarmat, silo-based missiles are turning into an excellent target. And all hope is only for mobile PU. And in the American version, this is primarily a nuclear submarine. This means huge costs for the development of analogs to our "Barguzin". This means that the huge costs for the construction of the required number of nuclear submarines-missile carriers … And for the Americans, additional spending is like a knife in the liver …

In the committee, the famous John McCain has long been talking about the need to change the very concept of the "nuclear triad." The need to abandon mines for ICBMs altogether. Even US President Dunald Trump was forced to raise this topic in his own manner. By posting on Twitter. The US must "substantially strengthen and expand its nuclear capabilities."

Back to Malcolm Davis. There is another interesting thought in there.

“… It is very strange that the Russians are developing heavy ICBMs to penetrate almost nonexistent missile defense systems. This suggests that they have no clear rationale for deploying such weapons. As my colleague Rod Lyon noted, such a missile creates dynamics of destabilization that will force the Russians to strike first in a crisis."

Here is such a puppy growing up today on the boat of the hero of my future story. And it will grow. If it is included in the weapons program. Will grow up soon.

But in general we are moving … We are moving fast. No matter what our and not our experts and analysts say. And we are moving where we need to. And we make you talk to yourself respectfully. Potential "partners" have not forgotten the feat of the Soviet people in the first period of the Great Patriotic War. When the factories that were exported to the east of the country began to produce products in 2-3 months. At the same time, factories were often taken out into an open field. And in peacetime, such a move would have lasted 2-3 years …

The Sarmat puppy grows up in peacetime. Therefore, he is in no hurry to say goodbye to childhood. But … Maybe it's worth talking so as not to rush him to become an adult? Maybe you should hear each other?
