Kozak (Russian Cossack) - Ukrainian armored personnel carrier (armored combat vehicle, AFV) for special operations forces. For the first time AFV "Kozak" was demonstrated to the general public at the parade in honor of the Independence Day of Ukraine in Kiev on August 24, 2009. The multifunctional armored vehicle BMV "Kozak" was developed by the research and production association "Praktika", a Ukrainian manufacturer of armored vehicles and technical security equipment for banks and offices.
AFV "Kozak" is mainly intended for operations in populated areas, including as part of peacekeeping forces. According to the manufacturer, this is facilitated by its armament, maneuverability, comfort, mine and ballistic protection. The protection system is based on a protected capsule (citadel), which is installed on the main base.
The frame principle of the cabin capsule construction makes it possible to vary the degree of protection by replacing the removable panels with panels of a different thickness and shape.
Protection
