The main purpose of Bastion K-300 is to defeat surface ships and enemy targets. The complex is equipped with a unified supersonic KR 3M55 (Yakhont / Onyx).

The beginning of work on the creation of the complex - the beginning of the 1990s. The main developer is the Reutov Scientific and Production Association of Mechanical Engineering. According to the initial project, the launch complex carried three TPK (3 missiles), the stationary launcher was designed on the basis of the MAZ-543 chassis. Work on the creation of a mobile launcher was carried out at the Volgograd Central Design Bureau "Titan".

The project of one battery of the Bastion SCRC - four SPUs, a BU vehicle, a control equipment complex and an additional option - a TsU helicopter complex. Further development of the complex (2000 data) - mobile launchers are made on the MZKT-7930 chassis, they carried three TPK at the launch of the missiles, the platform with the TPK was put on jacks. The development of the launchers was carried out by an as yet not specified developer.

2008 year. A mobile launcher was built on the MZKT-7390 chassis. She was provided with two TPKs. Before the start, the platform with the TPK rested on the ground with the help of jacks. A mobile launcher for the Bastion complex has been developed by the Belarusian enterprise Technosoyuzproekt. For 2008, the design work of the complex is completely completed, the basic concept of the SCRC with the infrastructure remained unchanged from the 1990 project. 2010 year. The tested mobile coastal SCRC Bastion K-300P with the Onyx supersonic cruise missile is being adopted by the RF Armed Forces. The SCRC Bastion with the Yakhont missile is offered for export.

The device and means of the SCRC Bastion

Mobile launcher K-340P

Although, according to the initial project, the launcher carried 3 missiles in the TPK, the latest development of the K-340P launcher with two missiles in the TPK entered service. Central control data entry occurs before the TPK is brought into a combat position. Before the launch of the missiles, the TPKs rise vertically, and when launching the TPKs they lean on the ground. The missiles are launched both in the usual way, when the engine is turned on after exiting the TPK, and with the launch of the engines in the TPK itself and further launch.

The rocket is made according to the normal aerodynamic configuration, has a central body and a frontal air intake. Inertial guidance and control system. Onboard there is an onboard computer, a radio altimeter and an active-passive radar homing head.

RL-GOS KR detects a target and captures it, after which it turns off. The missile begins a maneuver of evading enemy air defense detection - goes under the air defense detection boundary and continues inertial flight. When the missile goes beyond the radio horizon of the mobile launcher, the radar seeker KR turns on.

Targets are assigned when the GOS is first turned on. If a salvo is fired, then the targets are distributed according to the nested algorithm, completely excluding the capture and guidance of several RCs at one target (if this is not specified by the algorithm). KR Onyx / Yakhont are provided with an anti-missile maneuver algorithm. The on-board computer received digital data on the main ships, which are the main targets for the CD.

Versions of SCRC Bastion:

- Bastion complex - a design version, three TPKs, chassis SPU MAZ-543 were to be installed on the mobile launcher;

- the Bastion complex - the next design option, approximately in 2000, a mobile launcher with three TPKs is made on the MKZT-7930 chassis;

- Bastion K-300P complex - a version of the complex that was put into service in 2010. Mobile launcher with two TPK missiles "Onyx", used chassis - MKZT-7930;

- the export version of the Bastion complex differs from the Bastion K-300P by the installation of Yakhont missiles in the TPK;

- Bastion K-300S complex - a design version of a stationary complex. A missile silo is assumed. Development continues today;

- complex Bastion 5 - probably a modernization or the next modification of the complex SCRC "Bastion". There is information about the work carried out in this version in 2008.

Delivery data of the complex

RF Armed Forces

Since 2009, the training of servicemen 11 OBRAB begins, in which it is planned to be the first to put the complex into service. Until the end of 2010, 11 OBRAB received three batteries of the complex. 11 OBRAB stands in the village of Utash near the city of Anapa. In the first half of 2011, some sources began to report the supply of "Bastions" to the armament of units deployed in the Kuril Islands. The approximate date of armament (rearmament) of units in the Kuril Islands appears - until 2015.

Export deliveries

At the beginning of 2000, negotiations began on the supply of the latest complexes (not yet built) for the Vietnamese Armed Forces. By the end of 2005, negotiations ended with the signing of a contract for the supply of at least two batteries. In 2009, together with Russian military personnel, Vietnamese military personnel were trained in the St. Petersburg military UC of the Navy. In 2010, at least one battery of the Bastion SCRC was delivered. In 2011, information appears on the supply of complexes for Vietnam. Most likely, a new contract was signed for the supply (2013-14) of the second Bastion complex, this information was confirmed in early 2012. In October 2011, Vietnam received the second battery of the Bastion mobile complex. In addition to two batteries, Vietnam received the Monolit-B mobile radar.

In early 2007, Syria buys Bastion missile systems (2 sets) worth $ 300 million. In the second half of 2010, the first battery of 1 set was sent to Syria. In September 2010, it was announced the completion of the delivery of 1 set of SCRC "Bastion". Until the end of 2011, Syria receives 2 sets. Radar stations for Syria were not supplied (according to available information). In 2012, the supplied Bastion complexes were involved in the exercises of the Syrian Navy.
