The Day of the Military Motorist was marked in the Russian Federation in a very interesting way: at the test site near Moscow (Bronnitsy), regular tests of special equipment, planned for purchase by the RF Armed Forces, took place. The first car to enter the obstacle course was - LSHA "Scorpion". Note that while passing the lane, the car's hinge broke, after which LSHA-B "Scorpion" entered the lane, which also had a problem - the crosspiece broke. Breakdowns, according to the test driver, are not critical and are eliminated within 30 minutes, even in the conditions of a march or a combat mission. To carry out such repairs, the necessary spare parts and accessories are included in the kit. Of the brand innovations, a unique set of electronics (BIUS), with "GLONASS" and an LCD display of information output, can be noted. All the main components and assemblies of the car are equipped with sensors, and in the event of a breakdown of the car, it will be easy to quickly restore its operability.
The next one to enter the obstacle course was the all-terrain vehicle of the multipurpose type DT-10P "Vityaz". The uniqueness of the machine in its connection with the trailer and cross-country ability - overcoming 4-meter holes, overcoming water obstacles and hilly terrain with full load is not a problem for it. A very necessary vehicle not only for the RF Armed Forces, but also for the Far North, Siberia and the Far East. What there is no doubt about is that such an all-terrain vehicle will find its buyer.
LSHA "Scorpion 2M"
The car from the series "Scorpions", which was the first to be tested in Bronnitsy, the next modification after the Scorpio LSHA is the Scorpion 2M. This car was designed and created at the request of the customer (Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation), after trial operation in the troops of the LSA "Scorpion".
The main innovations (improvements) in the new Scorpion 2M car:
- the base of the car is new of its own design, the UAZ base was completely abandoned;
- the tailgate is replaced by two aft doors with windows;
- the spare wheel is installed on the right aft part of the hull;
- there is a special block for lowering and raising the wheel;
- there are steps for entering and exiting the body;
- benches (or seats) are installed inside on each side.
Scorpio 2M will be produced with a body of metal or awning. For the use of the machine in the cold season, a separate insulated awning was developed. The Scorpion-2M is positioned as a replacement for the UAZ vehicle.

Scorpio LSHA-B
The machine was created according to the order of the Russian military department at the manufacturer's own funds. The armor protection class is the fifth according to GOST. There is an opportunity to build up armor elements and bring protection up to level 6a. Armor elements are made of ceramics, there are options for installing Russian or foreign elements of ceramic armor. As an option, it is possible to arm the engine according to the 3rd level of protection. Mine protection, according to the requirements of the military department, must withstand the detonation of a device in TNT equivalent equal to 0.6 kilograms. The designers plan to bring this figure up to 2 kilograms of the bottom and 4 kilograms of the wheel during the tests. The installation of weapons and full protection (6a), multilevel mine protection will significantly load the engine installed on the machine. Designers are currently looking for a powerful engine and optimizing these solutions. It is very possible that the new powerful engines will not be of domestic production.
The seats of the troop compartment are made according to the updated scheme, they are attached to the sides, and are provided with special elements that will collapse when undermined and subjected to a vertical load. The seats are set at 50 cm spacing and offset from opposite seats (checkerboard pattern). Most likely, there will be no mounts for the personal weapons of the landing, but the optional ability to install mounts is still available. To transport bulky cargo and weapons, it is necessary to dismantle some of the seats, which is done quite easily and quickly. Under each window (4 airborne and 1 stern) there is a loophole for firing troops. Scorpion LSHA-B is equipped with air conditioning and it is possible to install forced-type ventilation to remove powder gases from the troop compartment. It is installed on the emergency exit hatch, which is located in the aft part of the hull. FVU-100A is installed on the right aft outer part of the hull. To move the troops by car in cold weather, a stove is installed in the car - a heater is installed in the body under the 2nd left seat. A spare wheel with a special block is installed on the starboard side, in the center, behind it is a fuel tank. On the left side, in the same place, the 2nd fuel tank is installed. They are explosion-proof - a special filler and a self-tightening protective layer are used.
The commander's and driver's seats are installed according to explosion-proof technologies, provided with back and forth mobility and shock absorption. LCD displays and video cameras will be installed at the request of the customer, at this time, while the machines are being tested, they are not installed. The windshield is heated, the side windows may also receive it. In the front of the car, a remote-controlled finder headlight will be installed. The designers are planning to provide armored "Scorpions" with the possibility of transporting them by helicopters and using them in the airborne forces.

Tracked transporter DT-10P "Vityaz"
Transport 10-ton 2-link articulated all-terrain vehicle "Vityaz" is intended for work in the harsh conditions of the Far East, Siberia and the Far North. It is specially designed to do its job on low load-bearing ground. Working temperatures - (-50) - (+40) degrees. The first all-terrain vehicles were developed in the 70s of the last century, and since 1977 have been used in civilian spheres of life. DT-10 "Vityaz" is classified as a multipurpose high-speed articulated conveyor, which combines good carrying capacity, high cross-country ability and high speed in difficult travel conditions.
The all-terrain vehicle itself is made as two articulated sealed welded bodies (links). Front body (first link):
- a cabin with a capacity of up to 7 crew members;
- autonomous heating system;
- autonomous ventilation system;
- MTO;
- body compartment covered with an awning;
Second building (second link):
- a body covered with an awning or a platform for the installation and fastening of various equipment.
DT-10P "Vityaz" is made in several versions, it is possible to use cargo platforms instead of bodies. The all-terrain vehicle engine is a 4-stroke multi-fuel liquid-cooled diesel engine. To start the engine, an electric starter is used, powered by 24V accumulators and a pneumatic start from compressed air cylinders. Forced thermosyphon circulation of oil and coolant with a combined heating system makes it possible to start the engine at -50 degrees. In some versions, 840 YAMZ diesel engines or Cummins engines are installed on the Vityaz DT-10P. The conveyor uses a hydromechanical transmission and a hydrodynamic single-stage transformer. Transmission - 4-speed with a differential lockable design. Brakes are belt floating type with a pneumatic drive and a backup drive of mechanical type brakes for the first link. The swivel hitch enables the machine to overcome vertical one and a half meters obstacles, to move pits up to 4 meters wide and provides reliable traction of the tracks with the ground.
The designers suggest using the DT-10 "Vityaz" machine for emergency, rescue and emergency operations in various climatic and transportation conditions.
