Russian army until 2020 will purchase more than 1,300 of the latest equipment and weapons, said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the development of the defense industry in Votkinsk (Udmurtia).
According to him, the creation of 220 of them will require the opening of new or expansion of existing industries, as well as the establishment of cooperation between defense and civilian enterprises.
"Of course, all our plans for the development of strategic offensive and anti-missile weapons should be based on strict observance of the new Russian-American START treaty. This is the guarantee of stability and security in the world. At the same time, I would like to note that these agreements allow modernization of offensive weapons. and to prevent a decrease in their effectiveness, "Putin said.
The head of government said that until 2020. within the framework of the state armament program, about 20 trillion rubles will be allocated. “I think this is justified,” the Russian Prime Minister emphasized. Vladimir Putin added that such a measure is due to the fact that high technologies that will come to the military-industrial complex will also work in the civilian sector.
In addition, the justification for investing these funds, according to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, is confirmed by the latest events in the world, where "decisions on the use of force are too easy to make, and the latest events in Libya are another confirmation of this." "We timely and reasonably make decisions to strengthen the defense capability of Russia," Vladimir Putin concluded.
In Russia since 2013. the production of the Yars, Bulava and Iskander-M missile systems will be doubled. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the development of the defense industry, which is taking place in Votkinsk (Udmurtia). V. Putin added that the anti-missile defense (air defense) will be completely re-equipped in the Russian Federation. "All anti-aircraft missile regiments will receive S-400 Triumph systems and Pantsir-S complexes," the prime minister said.
He recalled that until 2020. it is planned to allocate more than 20 trillion rubles for the development and modernization of the Russian military-industrial complex within the framework of the state armament program. "Compared to the previous program, the increase is three times. This is very serious resources for Russia, a lot of money," Putin said. According to him, the Russian Armed Forces should have not just separate units with modern equipment, but truly integrated, effective groupings of troops in the navy, ground forces and aviation.
According to the prime minister, enterprises of the Russian defense-industrial complex (MIC) should have a profitability level of at least 15%. "Such profitability of enterprises must be ensured," Vladimir Putin stressed.
According to him, enterprises in this sector need to be deeply modernized. “We need to attract advanced technologies, promising managers, engineers and workers to the defense industry complex, as well as create a powerful modern production base capable of producing high-quality products strictly on time specified in contracts and at an adequate price,” the prime minister said.
He added that the state customer must strictly fulfill its obligations, conclude contracts on time, and not delay the transfer of fees and advances. Vladimir Putin stressed that the industry has serious potential, as evidenced by the figures obtained in 2010, when the volume of military production increased by 13%.
