According to domestic media reports, the Russian industry has completed the development of a promising electronic warfare system, and has already brought it to mass production. With the help of products of a new type, the army will be able to more effectively solve combat missions, interfering with the normal operation of enemy radar systems. Reportedly, a whole range of new systems was proposed to the military department.

The success of the new project was reported on September 26 by the TASS news agency with reference to Vladimir Mikheev, advisor to the first deputy general director of the Radioelectronic Technologies concern. A senior defense industry official revealed some details of the new project, although he did not name it. Also, the main features and capabilities of the promising complex were announced again.

KRET specialists have created new aerodynamic targets with onboard electronic warfare equipment. Several similar products have been created, differing in different characteristics, but built on general principles. V. Mikheev noted that some of the new false targets have already been put into series and ordered by the military department. He also clarified that serial targets work at distances of up to 10-20 km.

Work in this direction continues. With a view to the long term, new aerodynamic targets with their own electronic warfare systems are being developed. In the future, they are supposed to be used as part of a complex of onboard equipment and weapons for Su-34 bombers and Su-57 fighters (PAK FA / T-50). For them, it is planned to create their own goals over the next two to three years. At the same time, promising products of this kind will have new opportunities.

According to V. Mikheev, the new aerodynamic targets will be able to simulate a massive air raid at distances of up to several hundred kilometers. Other information about the means of electronic warfare of new types has not yet been specified.

It should be noted that the latest TASS reports appeared just a few months after the previous news about promising electronic warfare means. At the beginning of June this year, the press already published V. Mikheev's statements on the creation of new radio-electronic means. Then it was argued that KRET specialists were completing the development of new products-carriers of electronic warfare equipment. According to information from that time, promising systems could have different capabilities. Among other things, the function was declared to simulate a full-scale missile strike.

At the same time, the representative of the concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" described the general appearance of the new aircraft systems. As a basis for such a complex, the so-called. false aerodynamic targets of the existing look. These products should have been equipped with a special electronic warfare system. The capabilities and functions of the latter are determined by the characteristics of the work of different types of troops.

According to official reports, such an electronic warfare complex, which has a relatively small size and weight, can be used with different carriers. It can be mounted on cruise missiles with different bases. In addition, the equipment can fit into the body of an air-to-air missile. This increases the flexibility of use and the range of tasks to be solved. The use of different carriers allows the introduction of advanced equipment in different branches of the armed forces and branches of the armed forces.

As follows from the official data, the task of the carrier rocket of the electronic warfare equipment is to move along a given route with jamming or issuing radio signals of a special configuration. The latter function allows you to mislead the enemy and prevent him from properly organizing the defense.

The onboard decoy target equipment, broadcasting certain signals, can simulate single or group air targets. Thus, one target is capable of "portraying" a group of attack aircraft or a simultaneous attack using several cruise missiles. An imitation of a false raid, allegedly carried out by various strike systems, should divert the forces of the enemy's air or anti-missile defense, to a certain extent facilitating the delivery of a real strike.

It should be noted that to date, only the main capabilities of promising electronic warfare systems have been announced. The characteristics, appearance and even the designation of these products have not yet been specified. However, V. Mikheev pointed out the approximate parameters of one of the new false targets proposed to the army. So, some of the new samples will be able to work at distances of up to 10-20 km. Probably, we are talking about the flight range relative to the starting point.

Over the past three and a half months, the specialists of the Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" completed all the necessary work, and also prepared some new types of products for serial production. According to the latest data, a part of the offered product line has already become the subject of an order. In addition, the Ministry of Defense managed to receive the first serial systems. In the foreseeable future, it is planned to create new complexes with an increased range of on-board electronics.

It should be recalled that Soviet and Russian defense enterprises in the past have created a number of false aerodynamic targets. However, the new projects of KRET use only some of the ideas of the old projects. The main difference between previous and current false goals is in the principles of their work. The modern level of development of electronics has made it possible to significantly reduce the size and weight of the equipment, making it suitable for installation on cruise or aircraft missiles. A direct consequence of this was the emergence of completely new opportunities.

Unlike the old decoys, which had only passive jamming means, promising products use the active principle. This allows you to generate interference or other signals of various configurations. In particular, the declared possibility of imitating a massive raid is provided precisely by similar functions of the onboard equipment.

According to the latest reports, in recent months, the Russian industry has mastered the production of several promising electronic warfare systems, made in the form factor of a false aerodynamic target. It can be assumed that in the near future other representatives of the developed series will also enter the series. In addition, work continues on the creation of new systems of this class with improved performance. At the same time, new family projects are created with the aim of increasing the combat effectiveness of front-line aviation.

The available information suggests that the new electronic warfare means in the future will be able to be used not only by military aviation. One or another modification of false targets can be introduced in the ground forces and the navy. The advantages of such rearmament are obvious: land formations, the aerospace forces and the navy will be able to expand their capabilities in the context of countering the enemy and striking its targets.

In recent years, a course has been taken in our country to create promising electronic warfare means of various classes. The already known and mastered classes of such equipment were further developed, and in addition, it became possible to create completely new samples. Aerodynamic targets with an electronic warfare system, recently ordered by the Ministry of Defense, gave rise to a new original direction. New projects of such systems are already being created, and, most likely, the development of such ideas will continue in the future.
