About the participants of the airborne assault near Novorossiysk in the Glebovka-Vasilyevka area.
On the night of February 3 to 4, 1943, on the instructions of the Military Council of the Black Sea Fleet, a paratrooper detachment in the amount of 57 people was thrown into the rear of the enemy near Novorossiysk, consisting of sailors of a separate paratrooper company of the Black Sea Fleet Air Force, with the task of ensuring the landing of the amphibious assault landing in the area of South Ozereyka. The detachment had the tasks of disrupting communications and command and control of troops guarding the coast, destroying headquarters and communication centers, blowing up bridges and prohibiting the approach of reserves to the landing site of amphibious assault from the Borisovka, Kommuna, Abrau-Dyurso and Bolshoi areas, as well as preventing the withdrawal of enemy units from the area South Ozereyki.
Initially, it was planned to land 80 paratroopers from three PS-84 aircraft and a TB-3 bomber, but one of the TB-3 aircraft could not reach the target and returned to the airfield with a landing party on board. On the night of February 4, on the slope of Zhen Gora, between the villages of Vasilyevka and Glebovka, three PS-84 aircraft dropped three groups of paratroopers. The paratroopers were dropped at a precisely designated place and at exactly the appointed time with an interval of one minute between groups. The navigators, night lights, who know the landing area well, Ivan Mukhin, Vladimir Kovalenko and Pyotr Radionov, were responsible for the accuracy of the drop. The commanders of the groups were Petty Officer N. A. Shtabkin, lieutenants I. A. Kuzmin and P. M. Soloviev.
Upon landing, not calculating the time in the delay in the deployment of the parachute, the commander of one of the groups, Lieutenant P. M. Soloviev, crashed and the group was headed by his deputy foreman Chmyga. After the gathering, Chmygi's group moved in the direction of Vasilyevka, where it was supposed to destroy the headquarters of the 10th Romanian division. But it turned out that the headquarters was in Glebovka, there was a garrison in Vasilyevka, which met the paratroopers with dense fire.
A group of paratroopers commanded by Lieutenant Kuzmin, immediately getting involved in the battle, suppressed several firing points, the group blew up two bridges, cut communication lines. Having completed part of the assignment, Kuzmin led the fighters to Vasilyevka, where a group of foreman Chmyga was operating. In battle, by joint efforts, they captured the village. In an effort to destroy the paratroopers, the enemy began hastily to pull up additional infantry forces, artillery and tanks to Vasilyevka. In the morning, the Germans unleashed a flurry of attacks on the paratroopers. During the day, the paratroopers, maneuvering stubbornly resisted, but, having no means of fighting against tanks, suffering losses, were forced to retreat.
The group of Sergeant Major Shtabkin, as envisaged by the combat mission, after the assembly went to Glebovka in order to distract the enemy garrison with a sudden blow and thereby prevent it from reaching the landing site of the amphibious assault. Near the village, paratroopers destroyed a German artillery battery, destroyed a machine-gun point, and blew up a stationary communication line in two places.
As a result of the battles carried out in the rear of the enemy, paratroopers-paratroopers destroyed more than 200 enemy soldiers and officers, one artillery battery, 5 machine-gun points and 3 vehicles. After the operation, on February 10, part of the landing force managed to break through to the shore, from where the paratroopers were removed by boats and taken to Gelendzhik. The rest of the fighters left the encirclement in small groups. By March 12, out of 57 disembarked sailors of the paratrooper company, 28 people were able to return to their own.
Among the group of paratroopers removed by the boat and delivered on 10.02.1943 to Gelendzhik was the department of senior sergeant Vladimirov.

Without waiting for the boats, the remnants of Lieutenant Kuzmin's group made their way to the front line in mountains. The group had to spend almost a month in the rear of the Germans. On the 23rd day of their wanderings in the mountains, the paratroopers found the partisans. By that time, only four of their group survived: Sergeant Bely, Art. Red Navy Hare, Lieutenant Kuzmin and Sergeant Muravyov. In the detachment, they met the commander of one of the landing groups, Sergeant Major Chmyga, with whom they crossed the front line and arrived in Gelendzhik on February 27. As part of the group, together with Chmyga, Kuzmin, Bely and Zayats, Sergeant Muravyov crossed the front line
From the award sheet of the airborne assault rifleman of the parachute company of the Black Sea Fleet Air Force Sergeant Vasily Mikhailovich Muravyov:
“Sergeant Muravyov is a participant in two airborne operations behind enemy lines, the faithful son of our country to the end, the bravest among the brave and the most honest among the honest. In the first landing, he participated in the night from 23rd to 24th October 1942 at the enemy-occupied Maykop airfield with the task of destroying enemy aircraft at the airfield. He coped with the task perfectly, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. Ants are again thrown into the rear of the enemy as part of a paratrooper detachment on the Black Sea coast, with the task of ensuring the landing of the amphibious assault. Gathering at the muster signal after landing around the platoon commander, Sergeant Muravyov was immediately appointed deputy platoon commander, since the previously appointed deputy platoon commander did not appear on the muster signal. Within 22 days comrade. Muravyov, along with the platoon, was behind enemy lines and always appeared where the most dangerous place was. During this time, Muravyov personally killed 14 Nazis, destroyed a car, cut 4 communication lines, took an active part in six battles with the enemy. On February 18, the hungry and frozen through the paratroopers found an empty bunker and decided to make a fire in it and warm up. In this bunker, they were surrounded by a large group of Germans and White Cossacks, began to fire at them and throw grenades at them. Here comrade. Muravyov was wounded by shrapnel in both legs. The Cossacks shouted: - "Surrender!"
The platoon leader was confused and gave the order to surrender, but the wounded sergeant Muravyov stopped him and shouted: “Let me die here on the spot, but I will not surrender! Let's fight back! " He was the first to shoot back from a machine gun and throw grenades. The rest followed his example, and all of them with a fight came out of the encirclement of the enemy several times outnumbered. This battle was led by Sergeant Muravyov. On February 25, Sergeant Muravyov with other paratroopers crossed the front line in the Tonelnaya area. Not far from the front line comrade. Muravyov captured a German corporal, but the latter made a noise and prevented him from crossing the front line. Then Muravyov stabbed him with a dagger "1
Chmyga
From the award list of the deputy officer of the platoon of the airborne company of the Black Sea Fleet Air Force, Petty Officer Chmyga Georgy Fedorovich:
"Comrade. Chmyga twice participated in the heroic defense of Sevastopol as a reconnaissance soldier in the marines. A participant in the most daring and daring airborne operation directly to the Maikop airfield, occupied by the enemy, as an assistant commander of the detachment, with the task of destroying enemy aircraft at his airfield on the night of October 23-24, 1942. I coped with the task perfectly. Deputy commander of the 1st platoon during an airborne operation on the Black Sea coast occupied by the enemy near Novorossiysk on the night of February 3 to 4, 1943, with the task of ensuring the landing of the amphibious assault. After landing, the platoon commander, Lieutenant Soloviev, died. Comrade himself. Chmyga badly injured his leg, but despite this, he took command over himself and gave a conditional gathering signal, according to which the platoon soldiers gathered to him. Sergeant Major Chmyga tried to advance along with the platoon soldiers, but his sore leg chained him to the spot. Then Tov Chmyga makes a selfless decision. He orders the soldiers to leave him and, having given each of them a specific combat mission, orders them to go along the specified route. Making his way by crawling and using a stick, Comrade. Chmyga advances along the planned route and destroys several enemy line communication lines on its way. On February 6, he meets 5 fighters from the amphibious assault from whom he learns about the unsuccessful landing of the amphibious assault. Chmyga takes command over them and decides to cross the front line in the Tonelnaya area. On February 7, he was joined by another 7 people from the amphibious assault, among whom there were three middle commanders. These people showed complete confusion and did not know what to do next. Comrade Chmyga ordered them to obey him and led them along. On February 14, Chmygi's group met with a 80-man amphibious assault force under the command of Art. Lieutenant Yuriev and on the same day they met with the partisan detachment of Comrade. Egorova. Chmyga handed over the soldiers of the amphibious assault. Lieutenant Yuryev, and he himself remained in the partisan detachment because of a sore leg. He takes an active part, together with the partisans, in routing the police in the quarry farm, blows up a bridge on the Bakan road, and cuts out 200 meters of a 10-wire communication line on the same road. Participates in the defeat of a German convoy on the Bakan road, where he personally killed three Germans. 02/23/43 met with four fighters of the 2nd platoon of the paratrooper detachment, Lieutenant Kuzmin, Sergeant Muravyov and Bely and Art. Red Navy Hare, with whom he decided to cross the front line. The group was led by foreman Chmyga. On the way to the front line, a German corporal was taken prisoner. Whom they wanted to bring with them, but in view of the fact that he was making noise, so as not to be found, they stabbed him with a knife. On the night of February 24-25, Comrade Chmyga successfully led the group through the front line and on 27.02.43 arrived in Gelendzhik. During the Patriotic War, Sergeant Major Chmyga personally destroyed 28 fascists and proved himself to be an honest, brave, hardy and proactive commander.
