Dear Readers!

This is a continuation of the fifth article in a series of publications on weapons designed by American designer Robert Hillberg, which was published yesterday.

Due to my oversight, I did not insert the text of the article in full, for which I apologize.

The first part of the article is HERE.

Wildey PIN GUN

At one time, the manufacturer received many letters from its customers, from which it became known that many of the owners of Wildie pistols are fond of plinking (entertaining shooting at various non-standard targets).

To be precise, Bowling Pin Shooting.

Since the shooting is carried out not only for accuracy, but also for speed, and the recoil of the pistol is not childish - after each shot, the barrel threw up strongly and it took time to restore aiming.

Customers asked the manufacturer to reduce the recoil momentum without changing the caliber.

Taking into account the wishes of their clients, the specialists of the campaign reacted immediately and developed a muzzle attachment for damping the recoil, but decided to capitalize on the weaknesses of fans of fast shooting at pins.

As a result, interchangeable barrels of different lengths and chambered for cartridges of different calibers with built-in DTK appeared.

As the manufacturer assures, barrels with DTK significantly reduce the recoil force, speed up preparation for the next shot and improve the accuracy of the battle.

These barrels can be fitted to almost any Wildie pistol.

What clients do with their old trunks - I have no idea.

Perhaps they are shooting at refrigerators - in this case, special accuracy is not required.

The cost of barrels with a built-in muzzle brake-compensator depends on their length, finish (bright stainless steel or matte finish) and, possibly, caliber.

The price for additional barrels with a DTK varies from $ 670.30 to $ 1, 248.00.

And for those who like to joke at pins, who have not yet had time to purchase a Wildey system pistol, the manufacturer offers a ready-made solution: Wildey PIN GUN.

This is the same pistol, but it was originally equipped with a barrel with a built-in DTK.

You can order any combination: with a polished stainless steel frame and barrel or with a matte finish, with an angular or rounded trigger guard.

The barrel length is also selectable.

Available in 7 ", 8", 10 ", 12", and 14 "barrels.

Wildey PIN GUN pistol with barrel length 8 (20, 32 cm.)

Its weight is 1.855 kg.

If desired, the barrel with a built-in DTK can be purchased separately and installed on any existing pistol of the Wildie family.

Prices

Replaceable barrel with built-in DTK varies and depends on barrel length and finish (Polished / Matte):

from $ 670.30 to $ 1, 248.00

The Wildey PIN GUN pistol varies and depends on barrel length, trigger guard shape and finish (Polished / Matte):

$ 1,649.95 to $ 2310.95

Wildey Silhouette Pistol

The Wildie Silhouette pistol is specially designed for hunting and long range shooting.

In order to increase the range and flatness of the bullet trajectory and in addition to simplify aiming - the gunsmiths of the campaign equipped the base model of the pistol with a barrel as long as 18”(45, 72 cm) and gave this modification its own name: Silhouette / Silhouette.

Wildie pistol Silhouette with optional telescopic sight.

This barrel is equipped with standard mounts for mounting optical sights and is completed with a forend made of natural wood (American walnut).

If desired, it can be installed on any other pistol of the Wildie family.

The Wildey Silhouette is positioned as a weapon that will provide (as far as possible) particularly accurate shooting at maximum distances.

The main difference between the Wildie Silhouette pistol and those described above is its trigger: it is adjustable, only single action (Adjustable Single Action only).

The manufacturer describes it as “similar in action to the trigger of the Colt 1911 army pistol” plus the capabilities of the gas regulator (read below).

Non-automatic mode for jewelry precision

To improve the accuracy of the battle, the manufacturer recommends switching the weapon to non-automatic mode: for this, you need to turn the “valve” of the gas regulator counterclockwise until it stops.

Then the access of powder gases to the cylinder is completely stopped (they are emitted into the atmosphere) and after the shot, the shutter movement backward is impossible, but the pistol can function in manual reloading mode: after each shot, the shooter manually juggles the bolt carrier and at the same time the spent cartridge case is removed and the hammer is cocked, and when the bolt carrier moves back under the action of the return spring, the next cartridge is sent to the chamber.

Analogs

I know of only one pistol that can be switched to “non-automatic” mode: this is the Ruger 22/45 pistol chambered for.22 LR for special operations.

But on it, this function serves in order not to attract attention with the clang of the shutter and not to leave a spent cartridge case after the shot.

They have one more thing in common: both have fixed trunks.

As for the rest, it is a weapon for completely different tasks: one for the entertainment of the rich Buratin, and the other for liquidation “without noise and dust”.

If desired, the 18 barrel can be purchased separately and installed on any existing Wildie pistol.

Prices

Replaceable 18 barrel made of polished steel (Polished) for Survivor pistols: $ 1, 647.95

Interchangeable 18 Matte Barrel for Hunter Pistols:

$2, 008.95

Wildey Silhouette pistol with 18 barrel (without optics):

$2, 776.95

In my opinion, for a pistol with such a long barrel, at least a bipod suggests itself, and better - a bipod and a stock.

Wildey CARBINE

Not all clients were satisfied with a mega-pistol with a barrel length longer than that of a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

The firing range was fine with them, but the declared accuracy left much to be desired.

To increase the stability of the weapon when aiming before firing (which would increase the accuracy of fire) and to absorb recoil, a shoulder rest suggested itself.

In order to respect your most demanding clients - for

pistols Wildey Silhouette developed a removable frame stock of the “Skeleton” type and began to offer potential buyers a ready-made solution called Wildey CARBINE.

Prices

How much is a butt made of American walnut, I could not find out, and the prices for the kits are as follows:

Wildey Survivor Carbine (Polished) $ 3,019.95

Wildey Hunter Carbine (Matte) $ 3, 249.95

The manufacturer positions its pistol as a versatile and flexible weapon system that can replace several types of weapons.

It seems like this product will save the shooter a lot of money.

Everyone saves in their own way …

My story would be incomplete without mentioning the opportunity for the shooter to “save” a little more.

How?

For example, by ordering a pistol with engraving from a dealer right away.

Or a shoulder holster (judging by the price of dragon hide) for $ 270.95.

Other developments

In addition to this, in many ways a unique pistol, the Wildey Firearm campaign has developed another one - quite normal in size and more familiar in terms of appearance.

It is produced in Jordan by the King Abdullah Design and Manufacturing Bureau and is intended for arming the Jordanian army and police, as well as for export.

A special feature of the Viper JAWS pistol is its ability to use 9mm PARA,.40 S&W and.45 ACP cartridges.

This is achieved by quickly changing the barrel, magazine, extractor and bolt insert.

But I will write a separate article about this pistol.

The Wildey Firearm campaign is currently developing a rifle.

Nothing more is reported on the official website.

In the past, Mr. Moore ran for the US Senate, but did not become a Senator.

He is an ardent supporter of individual rights and freedoms, vigorously defends the Constitution and the right to bear arms.

(I would be very surprised if he opposed.)

Self-taught inventor, entrepreneur, public figure - Wildie Moore wants to see America as the first settlers saw it.

Apparently Mr. Moore is also an avid golfer, as he is the author and patentee of the “Method of making weighted metal golf club head”.

Apparently, Mr. Moore somehow lost and was very upset not being able to knock the ball out of the bunker with sand.

That's actually all that I managed to collect on the Wildie Moore pistol.

It remains only to add a table with performance characteristics and a traditional list with films in which the Wildey pistol was used as a props.
