The real top model of military vehicles is the famous GAZ-66. It has been in production for 35 years. Its use was justified by the fact that this machine made it possible to fulfill the set goals at minimal cost. Those people who have operated the GAZ-66 can say that it is an unpretentious car to use with amazing driving characteristics. With a certain experience, tire fitting and other types of maintenance are easily carried out for this car. GAZ-66 can be operated in off-road conditions and difficult rough terrain. Its carrying capacity is about 2 thousand kilograms, so it was used to transport both personnel and ammunition and weapons. On the basis of the GAZ-66, mobile radar equipment and other objects were mounted. For a military vehicle GAZ-66, a very acceptable amount of fuel is consumed - 20 liters per 100 km, if its speed does not exceed 60 km / h. In 1999, the production of 66 GAZs ceased.

A rather little-known model of the GAZ plant is the Vetluga car. This machine is designed for fire fighting. With the help of a special installation, consisting of 22 trunks, Vetluga can successfully cope with forest fires. The machine can extinguish fire from a distance of up to 300 meters, thanks to the high pressure in the installation. Wheels are considered the weak point of "Vetluga". They can catch fire quite easily from excessive heat exposure.

Even today, GAZ cars allow solving a variety of goals, but they are being replaced by completely new equipment.
