Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" (KRET) published information on its activities in 2013. As part of the state defense order, this enterprise, which is part of the state corporation "Rostec", builds and transfers various electronic systems to the armed forces. So, in 2013, KRET handed over to the customer new means of electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare (EW). The concern's press release notes that in 2013, the Russian Ministry of Defense adopted seven new complexes developed by KRET.

Last year, the armed forces received the first Moscow-1 electronic warfare systems. The equipment of this complex makes it possible to detect various enemy equipment, as well as to issue data to other electronic warfare equipment. Complex "Moscow-1" is able to find targets by the so-called. passive radar: its systems receive and process radio signals from targets, primarily airborne. This allows you to observe the airspace without revealing your position with your own signals. After detecting a target, the complex's equipment can accompany it and issue target designation to air force, air defense or electronic warfare units.

The complex "Moscow-1" was developed by the All-Union Research Institute "Gradient", which is part of the concern "Radioelectronic Technologies". The development of a promising electronic warfare system started back in the first half of the nineties, but for a number of reasons it took a long time. The contract for the supply of the Moscow-1 complexes was signed in April last year. In accordance with this document, by July 2015, KRET must deliver nine sets of the system to the customer. The message about the transfer of the first complex appeared in early December 2013. At the same time, it was reported that a new contract was signed for the supply of ten more Moscow-1 systems until 2016.

In 2013, the Bryansk Electromechanical Plant, which is a structural subdivision of KRET, handed over to the armed forces 10 Krasukha-4 electronic warfare systems. Complex "Krasukha-4" was developed by VNII "Gradient" and is intended for setting active interference. The capabilities of this system make it possible to effectively counteract the operation of radar stations of various aircraft, including early warning and control aircraft. The delivery of the Krasukha-4 electronic warfare systems began in the first months of last year. To date, according to KRET, the military has received 10 such systems.

In November 2013, KRET fulfilled a state order for the supply of SPR-2M "Rtut-BM" complexes. This self-propelled vehicle is a further development of the Rtut-B system and is intended to protect troops from weapons that use radio fuses. The principle of operation of the "Rtut-BM" system is relatively simple: the electronics of the complex emits signals that affect the operation of radio fuses of enemy ammunition. Due to this effect, shells or missiles explode at a higher altitude, thereby reducing the risk of injury to personnel and equipment. In addition, the Rtut-BM complex can switch the fuses to contact mode, which accordingly affects the effectiveness of an artillery or missile strike.

In the fall of last year, the military received 10 SPR-2M "Rtut-BM" complexes, ordered earlier. According to reports, this was the second contract for the supply of such electronic warfare systems. It was reported about preparations for the signing of a third such contract. This time, the Ministry of Defense was ready to order 20 complexes of the new model.

Last year, the military received several new President-S complexes created by the Ekran Research Institute. This airborne defense system is intended for installation on airplanes and helicopters of various types and is capable of protecting them from enemy weapons. Depending on the type of aircraft and the customer's wishes, a set of several system components can be mounted on it. The President-S complex includes control equipment, a warning station for radar or laser irradiation, a missile attack detection system, devices for ejecting consumable assets (false thermal targets, anti-radar cartridges or disposable cartridges with jamming transmitters), an active radio jamming station, and also an incoherent and laser station for optoelectronic suppression.

The President-S onboard defense system is capable of detecting the operation of enemy radar stations or laser systems, as well as detecting missile launches. After that, the automation can determine and use the most effective countermeasure in this situation: radio interference, optoelectronic suppression or special cartridges of several types.

The Kaluga Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute (KNIRTI) handed over to the military several SP-14 / SAP-518 active jamming stations. These stations are used to protect the Su-27SM and Su-35S fighters, and are also part of the onboard equipment of the Su-34 front-line bomber. The SP-14 / SAP-518 systems should be used to counter enemy radar stations, both aviation and ground.

Fulfilling orders for the supply of various systems, enterprises from the Concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" are engaged in the creation of new complexes for various purposes. For example, the Kaluga KNIRTI is currently developing the Khibiny-U electronic warfare system. In the future, this system should become part of the onboard equipment of front-line aviation aircraft. So, the Su-30SM fighter will be used as a platform for testing the new complex. It is argued that the Khibiny-U system will have great superiority over the existing airborne electronic warfare systems. The Bryansk Electromechanical Plant is currently working on the project of a promising active jamming system, which in the future will replace the Krasukha-4 complex.

In the next five years, KRET is to supply the Russian armed forces with 20 types of new systems for various purposes. These are both already existing and only developed complexes of different classes. In particular, it is planned to start manufacturing space-based systems and portable anti-aircraft missile systems. The products of KRET enterprises are in demand not only from the Russian Ministry of Defense, but also from foreign countries. In total, 60 foreign countries purchase about a third of the group's products.
