Whether in response to Washington's reluctance to abandon the deployment of a European missile defense cluster, or as a test of the reliability of long-range missiles, one way or another, a few days ago, a Topol missile warhead successfully hit a target on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Twenty minutes after launch, a new modification of the warhead demonstrated what it was capable of. Despite the fact that the most launched Topol this year turned 23 years old, the warhead carried by the missile can be called an innovation of Russian military designers. If we talk about the notorious American missile defense system, then it is mainly designed to destroy ballistic missile blocks, the trajectory of which even a schoolboy can calculate. The new maneuvering warhead is capable of "confusing the cards" for the Americans not only by its intricate trajectory, but also by the fact that it contains so-called "dummies". These are ordinary metal or composite blanks that will be perceived by enemy anti-missiles as full-fledged warheads and disorient the entire missile defense system. It can be considered that this is a completely effective asymmetric solution as opposed to the American radars in Poland and Romania. A good Russian proverb says that there is no reception against scrap if there is no other scrap. So the Russian military manufacturers decided to "surprise and delight" the American military department with a new "gift" - a new "scrap" in the form of ICBMs.

It is worth noting that the successful launch of a Topol-class missile shows that even Soviet weapons, despite their considerable age, can tickle the nerves of the West. In connection with the latest insinuations of the American side about the unwillingness to either suspend the deployment of missile defense systems, let alone completely close the project, Russia has demonstrated that even if such a system appears in Eastern Europe, it will not pose any threat to the maneuvering blocks of missiles of a new type …

Representatives of the Russian military department argue that in comparison with the previous generation warheads, the new ones have become much more accurate. The error when this type of nuclear weapon hits the target is no more than a couple of tens of meters from a distance of more than 5000 km. This "for the eyes" is enough to destroy any potentially dangerous object on the territory of the alleged enemy.

Western media immediately dubbed the launch of Topol from the Plesetsk cosmodrome an action that could provoke a spiral of the arms race. At the same time, as usual, any military initiative of the western side is no longer considered such a turn, for obvious reasons. For our country, this position of foreign "colleagues" has long become common, so no one pays special attention to it.

In this case, I would only like to note that the current US President even at one time actively participated in pressing the famous "Reset" button. However, no reset, if to speak, did not happen directly, as well as not a single promise of Obama that, they say, missile defense will be deployed, American troops will withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq. It turns out that, as always, these citizens see a speck in someone else's eye, but they stubbornly refuse to notice their log. Let in this case, not just something, but the intercontinental "Topol" with new BBs, will act as the very speck.

By the way, the new BB, of course, will not be installed on the old Topol. They are designed to be equipped with Yars and Bulava. However, so far the tests of the Yars are not carried out, and the development of the strike force of the BB can be quite carried out on the good old Topols. Here is such a "Poplar" boo …
