One of the latest developments of the Tethys Pro company is the BKD-120T pressure chamber with a diameter of 1200 mm. Recall that the first hyperbaric chamber of this type was produced in May 2014 and successfully passed certification by the supervisory authorities. BKD-120T has all the necessary certificates and is now in serial production.
In 2014, fifteen pressure chambers BKD-120T were manufactured and delivered to customers as part of various types of diving complexes.
It should be noted that the pressure chamber can be supplied in two versions: with a certificate of conformity to the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union (hereinafter TR CU) or with a certificate from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (hereinafter RS).
Delivery set of the pressure chamber, i.e. saturation with various systems and equipment is differentiated depending on the requirements of the Customer. At the same time, regardless of the configuration, the BKD provides the necessary degree of safety during diving operations and the possibility of upgrading during operation at the request of the Customer.
Upon completion of the development, manufacture and mastering of serial production of pressure chambers of the BKD-120T series, it was decided to continue development work (R&D) aimed at creating a line of pressure chambers of various sizes. So in April 2015, diving pressure chambers BKD-1000T (with an inner diameter of 1000 mm) and BKD-1600T (with an inner diameter of 1600 mm) were manufactured. The new pressure chambers also meet all modern safety requirements and have a TR CU certificate.
The TR CU certificate is a new authorization document that replaces the permits for the use of the product previously issued by the Federal Service for Technological, Environmental and Nuclear Supervision. To date, pressure chambers manufactured by Tethys Pro are the only ones in Russia certified in accordance with TR CU. This allows the delivery of pressure chambers, both separately and as part of various diving complexes on the territory of the Russian Federation, member countries of the Customs Union, as well as countries that will become members of the union during the period of validity of the certificate.
The development and manufacture of pressure chambers is a hard and responsible work, behind which there is a whole staff of specialists: designers, technologists, welders, painters, fitters - assemblers, electricians … And each of these specialists is personally responsible for the manufactured product, ensuring safety during diving work and, ultimately, for the life and health of divers. Each pressure chamber of its standard size has individual characteristics that are taken into account during design and further manufacture. Of course, experts reading this article understand that the smaller the pressure chamber, the more complex its project. After all, with a small diameter, it is necessary not only to withstand the requirements for safety and ergonomics, but also to saturate the pressure chamber with all the elements of life support systems. And when designing pressure chambers with a diameter of 1600 mm or more, it is possible to place maximum emphasis on ergonomic indicators and freely place the elements of life support systems.
It is worth noting that Tethys Pro specialists have carried out serious work in the field of ensuring the safety of pressure chambers equipment. Among other things, hatch supports were developed using non-sparking materials, electrical connectors were selected that provide more than 100% guarantee of protection against electric shock. All electrical equipment inside the pressure chambers has a safe voltage of 24 V; a special non-toxic paint has also been selected. Mattresses and pillows are made of special non-flammable and non-flammable materials.
The same applies to the placement of external control systems for the operation of the pressure chamber - the gas supply consoles of the pressure chamber, elements of the power supply system, the water fire extinguishing system and others. All systems have an intuitive interface and are easy to operate. When designing and manufacturing pressure chambers of the BKD series, all the recommendations and wishes of the professional community were taken into account. And we hope that the pressure chambers will be appreciated by divers.
One of the latest developments is the BKD-1600T two-compartment flow-decompression chamber. The pressure chamber includes two entrance and two access hatches with a diameter of 700 mm, two medical gateways for the transfer of food, medicines, etc. (one for each compartment) and two safety devices to ensure safety, provided that the pressure inside the pressure chamber increases above the working pressure. … Each compartment, depending on the task, can perform the function of the main or airlock compartments, that is, prechambers. The pressure chamber can be equipped with a modern water fire extinguishing system, which is installed outside and includes two water tanks for supplying water to each compartment, fluid supply systems, control and monitoring. Pipelines with nozzles for water spraying are mounted inside the pressure chamber. The activation of the water fire extinguishing system can be carried out from the inside of the pressure chamber, from the control panel of the pressure chamber and from the control panel of the water fire extinguishing system.
In pressure chambers with a diameter of 1200 and 1600, a flange according to the DIN13256 standard is provided for connecting a transportable pressure chamber at a pressure of no more than 5.5 kgf / cm2. In addition, for the BKD-1600T pressure chamber, the docking flange can be installed on either of the entrance hatches or on both hatches.

The entire line of BKD pressure chambers was presented at the International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS-2015), which took place from 1 to 5 July 2015 in St. Petersburg on the territory of the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex.
