Russian modernized air defense systems will be presented at the international aerospace show in China
The newest air defense systems are presented by Russia at the opening in the city of Zhuhai (Guangdong province) the international aerospace show Airshow China 2010, which will be held from November 16 to 21.
The topics of the forum are extremely wide - from military and civil aircraft and helicopters to rockets and rockets. The Russian air defense concern Almaz-Antey will make its debut at this salon, said the official representative of the company Yuri Baikov:
Almaz-Antey participates in the exhibition in Zhuhai for the first time. Visitors can get information about the anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 Triumph, S-300 PMU2 Favorit, anti-aircraft missile systems Buk M2E, Tor M2E. This decision reflects the readiness to further expand business contacts and partnerships with the People's Republic of China. The Almaz-Anteya exposition presents the entire range of military products manufactured by the company's enterprises."
The interest in the S-300 PMU2 "Favorite" system is especially great. The upgraded S-300 can engage short-range ballistic missiles, medium-range tactical ballistic missiles and ground targets with known coordinates. Its range has been increased to 195 kilometers.
The complex has already been delivered to several countries. In particular, 15 divisions were sent to China and put on alert duty in the air defense system of the country's largest cities - Beijing and Shanghai.
According to the Center for Analysis of World Arms Trade, the Russian S-300 and S-400 long-range systems are currently the most effective means of defense of important objects of state and military command, military bases, groupings of troops and missile launch sites.
Medium and long-range air defense systems are the greatest achievement of military high-tech. Only the United States and Russia can develop them independently, other countries do it with the assistance of American (Japan) or Russian (India) developers.
