This year, about 100 basic types of equipment and weapons of the missile forces have been purchased. Due to the secrecy, more accurate data, incl. with layout by type, not shown. Due to this year's supplies, three regiments were completely transferred to the modern Yars complex. The transfer of one more unit to the promising Avangard complex has also begun.

Land rearmament

The main news about the rearmament of the army this year is related to the missile forces and artillery. At the end of November, the 448th missile brigade from the ZVO received the Iskander-M OTRK kit to replace the existing Tochka-U systems, and the latter have now been decommissioned. As a result, MFAs finally switched to modern OTRK and abandoned outdated systems.

The execution of contracts for the modernization of the T-80B MBT under the T-80BVM project is coming to an end. So, in mid-November, a tank battalion of the 200th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Northern Fleet received a batch of 26 improved tanks. These tanks, together with the previously delivered vehicles, made it possible to increase the combat effectiveness of the coastal forces.

New items in the fleet

By the end of the year, the submarine fleet will be replenished with one combat unit. At the beginning of December, the state tests of the SSBN "Knyaz Vladimir" pr. 955A were completed. The deliveries of equipment of the previous generations continue. In particular, the troops receive new Su-34 bombers. During the year, several batches of such vehicles arrived at the Shagol airbase, which made it possible to complete the formation of the second squadron. The mixed air regiment of the base is now armed with only modern front-line bombers.

Re-equipment is being carried out not only for front-line aviation. This year it was planned to supply five new military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A. The new equipment was transferred to the 235th Military Transport Aviation Regiment, Ulyanovsk.

The plans to update the air defense-missile defense system for this year included the delivery of two new regimental sets of S-400 air defense systems. The purchase of divisional sets of missile-gun complexes "Pantsir-C1" was also carried out. The bulk of this equipment has already been transferred to the troops and put on duty.

On the eve of 2020

By now, most of the plans for this year have been successfully completed, and the military has received almost all the required items.

In the very near future, the Ministry of Defense will sum up and publish the results of the year, taking into account the events of the last weeks and months. Then it will become clear what expenses took place and to what results they led. In addition, it will be possible to clarify which events had to be postponed to the next year.
