“We will be able to see the enemy day and night, in any weather. And we will persecute him mercilessly."

- General Gordon Sullivan

In 1996, the US Air Force report "Weather as a Power Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025" was published, which gave rise to many subtle conspiracy hypotheses and assumptions about the creation of climate weapons. Here is an overview of this report.

What is the meaning of climate weapons?

How to strengthen your own army and weaken the enemy's army?

Does this power have a "dark side"?

What threats can be posed by interference with natural mechanisms of climate formation?

Purpose and purpose

Climate control is a long-standing dream of Humanity. Anyone who can find access to the immense forces of nature will gain control over any situation. From the point of view of modern military science, "weather control" does not imply the creation of controlled super-powerful tornadoes or typhoons that can sweep away all cities on the enemy's coast. Everything looks much more prosaic. In a general sense, the impact on the weather is necessary to solve two main problems:

1. Helping friendly forces.

2. Weakening the enemy's armed forces.

The first point is the creation of favorable weather conditions to facilitate the conduct of hostilities. Improved visibility. Ensuring the safe operation of friendly aviation. Eliminate interference and improve the quality of radio communications. Also, this list contains accurate weather forecasting and counteraction to possible attempts to influence the weather by the enemy.

The opposite task (weakening the enemy) is achieved through a set of the following measures:

- artificial increase in the level of precipitation, in order to cause floods and paralyze transport communications of the enemy;

- artificially reducing the level of precipitation, in order to cause drought in enemy territories and difficulties in supplying fresh water;

- the creation of unfavorable weather conditions that complicate the maintenance of the database: increased wind speed, deterioration of visibility;

- violation of radar and radio communication by direct impact on the Earth's ionosphere.

Below is a brief technical background. Description of technologies and methods with which it is possible to control atmospheric processes.

A) Precipitation management. Initiation of precipitation with the help of chemical reagents.

Spraying crystals of silver iodide, crystals of vaporization of liquid nitrogen, dry ice from an airplane is a well-known method that is regularly used to ensure clear, cloudless weather over certain areas of the earth (most often over capitals on major public holidays). This method of "dispersing the clouds" has already proven its effectiveness in practice, but the use of "chemistry" is unsafe and has many negative side effects. In the future, it is planned to use laser radiation to influence atmospheric moisture.

For a radical increase in the rate of precipitation over a given area of the earth, it is possible to directly influence the processes of moisture evaporation by spraying coal dust over the water. This increases the absorption of solar radiation and promotes increased heating of the surrounding water and air. This, in turn, accelerates the evaporation process and the formation of rain clouds. The method is suitable for use in coastal areas, if there is accurate information about the direction of the monsoon winds.

B) Fog. The main enemy of aviation.

There are two main types of fog.

Ice fogs formed by micro-dispersed ice particles at air temperatures below 0 ° C. The main way to combat this phenomenon is the use of chemicals that increase the size of ice crystals.

Much more often one has to deal with "ordinary" fogs that arise when moisture evaporates from a warmer evaporating surface into the cold air above water bodies and wet land areas. This problem has two solutions:

Heating of the ambient air. The experiments carried out have convincingly proved the possibility of fog scattering using microwave or laser radiation. Slight heating of the surrounding space to prevent moisture condensation. At a radiation intensity of 1 W / sq. cm the laser is capable of "clearing" 400 meters of the runway from the fog in 20 seconds. The method has not found application in practice due to its high cost and the need for high energy consumption.

Another way to deal with fog is through the use of chemicals that absorb moisture and lower the relative humidity of the surrounding air.

C) Storm warning.

Every second, over 2 thousand thunderstorms rage in the Earth's atmosphere - often with heavy precipitation and squally winds, posing a considerable threat to the population and infrastructure of those territories over which a destructive cyclone is sweeping. The power of the most powerful tropical hurricanes can be equivalent to 10,000 megaton thermonuclear bombs. Yankees are well aware of the dire consequences of these natural disasters, having felt it all on their own skin. The report provides information on how in 1992 Hurricane Andrew "blew" Homestead AFB, Florida, off the face of the earth.

How to learn to control the destructive element? How to turn the forces of nature into weapons, while reducing the risk of a typhoon falling on your own territory?

The US Air Force does not know the exact answer. Artificial creation of instabilities in the atmosphere by evaporating huge volumes of water or heating clouds forming over the ocean - in theory, this would create "man-made" cyclones. But the practical implementation of this idea is still in question.

It is obvious that the management of the elements is still beyond human capabilities - and this situation is unlikely to be resolved in any other way until 2025. As for the protection of aircraft when flying through a thunderstorm front, "the rescue of drowning people is the work of the drowning people themselves." The only reliable way to avoid air disasters is to work on improving the lightning protection of radio-electronic equipment of aircraft.

D) Impact on the ionosphere

The ionosphere is the upper part of the Earth's atmosphere, highly ionized due to its exposure to cosmic rays. The greatest practical interest is associated with the so-called. "Kennelly - Heaviside layer" located at altitudes of 60-90 km. Due to the high density of the plasma, the state of this layer has a great influence on radio communication at medium and short waves. Of no less interest is the "F layer" lying at altitudes of 150-200 km. Due to the ability of the F layer to reflect short-wave radio signals, it becomes possible for over-the-horizon radars and HF radio communication systems to exist over long distances.

By artificially exciting different parts of the ionosphere, you can achieve various positive or negative effects. Spraying large volumes of gas or heating certain areas of the ionosphere using microwave radiation and HF radio waves makes it possible to create giant "plasma lenses" in the ionosphere, which are used as reflective screens to improve the quality of long-distance radio communications and increase the reliability of over-the-horizon radar systems. Or, on the contrary, to make the ionosphere unstable and opaque, upsetting the enemy's communication systems.

For the first time, the possibility of creating such "lenses" was expressed by the Soviet scientist A. V. Gurevich back in the mid-70s.

Chemtrails

Despite the obvious nature of the report, the idea of artificial "climate control" found the widest response among the masses, causing many assumptions, phobias and hypotheses from the cycle of "conspiracy theories." The most famous is the urban legend of chemtrail conspiracy.

According to the supporters of this hypothesis, a secret world government is implementing a program to spray some strange "chemicals" over the cities of the Earth using passenger planes. Numerous eyewitnesses claim that they saw strange traces in the sky left after the flight of jet airliners. Unlike ordinary condensation (contraction) trails, chemtrails do not disappear within a few minutes, but, on the contrary, expand until they turn into cirrus clouds. Sometimes in the sky you can see a whole grid of such lines. After that, barium and aluminum salts, polymer fibers, thorium, silicon carbide or various substances of organic origin are allegedly found on the ground, and people who have fallen under the chemtrail deteriorate their health.

The true purpose of the chemtrails remains unknown. The most popular assumptions associate their emergence with climate control, a global program to control the population of the Earth, the creation of special conditions for the operation of radars, or the testing of biological weapons.

Proponents of the scientific approach explain the appearance of chemtrails by ordinary condensation trails of airliners, which, under certain weather conditions, may indeed not dissipate for a long period of time. A grid of whitish footprints and numerous parallel lines arise from the fact that the planes are moving along the same air corridor. And spraying any chemical. substances from such high altitudes (over 10 km) looks like a completely hopeless occupation.

Photos of airliners with strange tanks and pipelines installed inside the Internet also have a rational explanation. These are by no means secret sprayers; photos taken during flight tests. Water tanks are used to check the various alignments of the aircraft.

And, nevertheless, questions remain. The view of the "chemtrails" intersecting in the sky does not leave anyone indifferent.
