The Wolf is being tested at the test site near Nizhny Novgorod. This name was given to a new armored vehicle for the Russian army. In addition to the frightening name, the new armored vehicle is endowed with "intelligence" and a unique mine protection system.

Kolchugin told about his brainchild: "The new armored car, depending on the configuration, can have both a general purpose and a special one: for various needs of special forces, for sabotage operations. heavy small arms and light artillery weapons ".
“Wolf” has a high off-road ability, the vehicle's ground clearance can change from 25 cm to 55 cm, depending on road conditions, a special system allows you to adjust the clearance. Thanks to this, the car can overcome fords and snowdrifts up to a meter high. Also, the new armored car is equipped with an on-board computer that monitors the state and operation of all systems and in some cases may even block the actions of an inept driver.
The wolf has several types of swap bodies and two types of cabins, armored and regular.
The armored cabin is protected by two layers of armor: ceramic on the outside and steel on the inside. According to the developers of the car, the body of the car cannot be damaged even by a point-blank shot from a sniper rifle.
Another key feature of the Wolf is the presence of a new mine protection system. The bottom of the armored vehicle is covered with an armor plate and has a special architecture that allows you to deflect the blast wave. Special seats are attached to the ceiling and walls of the module and, in the event of an explosion, the shock is not transmitted to the crew.
Now the Wolf is undergoing an active series of tests. According to the designers, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the car will be presented during 2011. At the same time, the issue of supplying a new armored car to the troops will be decided.
