Two and a half dozen general directors and chief designers of leading Russian design bureaus headed by President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Roman Trotsenko visited the warships that have joined the Baltic Fleet in recent years and discussed the problems and prospects of shipbuilding with naval sailors.

The command staff of the TFR "Neustrashimy" and "Yaroslav the Wise", as well as the corvette "Guarding", expressed their recommendations regarding the merits and demerits of modern ship designs. Among the wishes expressed by the sailors are an increase in tanks for fresh water reserves and the modernization of seawater desalination plants, improvement of ship control systems, as well as an improvement in the arrangement of household premises. According to the unanimous opinion of the fleet command, the reliability of the ship systems should be at least 10 years, the spare parts kits should have an aggregate replacement, the control systems should be autonomous from external sources of information and to a greater extent unified in order to increase the efficiency of the gunners and operators.

During the launch, the guests were shown the combat capabilities of the Baltic Fleet ships, including rocket and artillery fire.

According to the military, the meeting turned out to be very relevant and useful, since all the new ships received by the Russian Navy in recent years passed sea and state tests in the Baltic Sea, which allowed the Baltic sailors to accumulate sufficient experience in the operation of both the ships themselves and their weapons … The shipbuilding industry received professional advice from sailors on their vision of the ship of the future.
