More than three hundred leading foreign and Russian companies will demonstrate their products at the Second International Forum "Technologies in Mechanical Engineering - 2012", which began work on Wednesday, June 27, in the city of Zhukovsky, in the Moscow region.
It is planned that the forum of machine builders will bring together about three thousand participants representing business, science, authorities and the public, as well as equipment manufacturers.
As part of the exhibition program of this forum, samples of military and civilian ground equipment are presented at the Gromov Flight Research Institute airfield (the MAKS international aerospace exhibition usually takes place here): full-size missile systems, tank bridgelayers, command and control systems for military formations, armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, all-terrain vehicles.
The exhibition program is represented by the International Exhibition "Mashpromexpo-2012", presenting industrial technologies and innovations, and the International Exhibition "Oboronexpo-2012", presenting weapons and military equipment.
The most spectacular exposition is located at the Oboronexpo-2012 site; light armored vehicles and the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, which is the most powerful in the world, have already been exhibited here. For the first time, it will be possible to see the newest version of the T-90SM tank, as well as the Terminator fire support combat vehicle. Also for the first time will be presented the newest armored trucks "Ural" and "KAMAZ", produced under the "Typhoon" program. Comparative tests of these machines are now underway.
The forum also presents projects related to aircraft construction. In particular, the United Aircraft Corporation will present the MS-21 project, a promising mainline aircraft, as well as mock-ups of this aircraft's promising engine and components made of composite materials.
"White T-72" is the main intrigue of TVM-2012. The first thing to start with is a very interesting type of modernized tank of the T-72B type. If someone is attracted by its color, then me - its LMS and sights. Especially panoramic. Apparently this is a car from our allies from Belarus. But it is impossible to say for sure yet - no one exhibited explanatory signs yesterday at the training run of the show program. We will follow the further development of events. The business program of the opening forum is no less intense. So, in the next 3 days, about twenty events will be held, which will consider topical issues of modernization and further development of mechanical engineering, as well as issues related to military-technical cooperation. A number of agreements are planned to be signed. In particular, Russian Technologies is preparing a number of bilateral documents with its foreign partners.
The "highlight" of the forum of machine builders will be a demonstration program with the participation of shooting armored vehicles and the demonstration of the so-called "tank ballet", that is, the simultaneous maneuvering of 5 tanks on a platform measuring 30 by 30 meters. The movement of heavy machines will be synchronous, they will simultaneously rotate the towers and raise and lower the cannons to the music. During the tank "dances" the self-propelled gun "Msta" will appear on the site. The newest T-90SM tank will also demonstrate its driving performance. An automobile-armored show called "Invincible and Legendary" with music, fireworks and blank cannon shots was defined as a techno-musical by the directors.
A total of about thirty units of wheeled and heavy tracked vehicles will perform in an hour-long program, which will take place at a specially equipped training ground, where there are driving tracks, driveways and artificial obstacles. Not only journalists and its participants will be able to visit the demonstration program of the forum, but also everyone who wishes during the days of mass visits.

The Invincible and Legendary program will take place on June 29 at 15:00, and on June 30 and July 1, the technique will perform at 11:00 and 15:00.
For the duration of the forum (five days), the city of Zhukovsky will be closed for transit of vehicles, so only those who have special passes will be able to enter it.
The Forum "Technologies in Mechanical Engineering - 2012" on June 27 and 28, on Wednesday and Thursday, will be held behind closed doors exclusively for specialists. The days of mass visits will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Those who do not have a special pass will have to get to a paid parking lot located at the airport, from where free buses will leave.
