Poroshenko and his camarilla, in their feverish actions to destroy the past and clean up Ukrainian memory, have reached a new frontier. Renaming cities, villages, streets, destruction of monuments, liquidation of books and their authors is not enough for them. Former sergeant of the Soviet army Poroshenko reached the military-historical memory of the army.
From now on, the whole history of the Ukrainian army fits into several stages: origin from the Cossacks, service in the Polish register, as part of the Austro-Hungarian army, serving the Wehrmacht and the SS, and a "heroic" punitive operation against its own people. It fits into these stages, since past victories in the Soviet period were also taken away from this army.
Because they are not needed in today's Ukraine. Poroshenko's entourage probably understands how insane the red banners of registered regiments and divisions look next to Bandera's zhovto-blakitnost and Bandera's men in American camouflages. Even more ridiculous, the red banners are combined with the Nazi symbols of the Ukrainian army "samizdat" in the form of all kinds of ducks, bunches and dobrobats …

Decommunizers came to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Border Service, the National Guard (created instead of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine). On November 19, presidential decree No. 646/2015 was published, providing for the exclusion of references to Soviet orders and honorary names from the names of military units. The names of the Orders of Kutuzov, Suvorov, Red Banner, Red Star, October Revolution, Bogdan Khmelnitsky have been removed from their official honorary titles …
The names of Nakhimov, Alexander Nevsky, as well as the honorary titles that were received for victories in the Great Patriotic War, for operations in Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, in Afghanistan were taken from more than 80 military units, divisions and institutions.
Let us read the list of names that are crossed out from the history of units and subunits.
There are no more Breslavsky, Budapest, Warsaw, Vistula-Oder, Volgograd, Galatsky, Konigsberg, Chisinau, Moscow, Mukdnensky, Novgorod, Orshansky, Pomeranian, Prut, Riga, Ropshansky, Sandomirsky, Tallinn, Fokshtani …
So, the 54th separate guards reconnaissance Prut-Pomeranian orders of Kutuzov, Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Alexander Nevsky battalion became simply "the 54th separate guards reconnaissance battalion".
It is surprising that the rank of the Guards was also left (on what basis?). They left several divisions with the name "Sevastopolsky". Here the logic is clear, however, Geletey is no longer there, who promised a victory parade in Sevastopol …
And Ivan Kozhedub, Alexander Pokryshkin and Sergei Korolev were also lucky, whose names were also left to the units and institutions. Bye.
They left the names of Peter Franko, Vasily Petrov (without mentioning that he is twice Hero of the Soviet Union).
There are units, subdivisions, institutions that have been left with "Ukrainian names" - the names of Daniil Galitsky, Pyotr Sagaidachny, Ivan Vygovsky, as well as Igor Momont, who died during the ATO.
That's the whole "Ukrainian" list.
It would be logical if only the names of the “Ukrainian heroes” were left. But who can now explain the logic of those who are engaged in state-building (state-building)?

With a stroke of the pen, the army loses its real military glory, remaining only an instrument of extermination of the civilian population and militias of Donbass. The asterisks were exchanged for Galician quadrangles, conscience - for hryvnia, now the history of their units is being exchanged for unconsciousness.
Curious where the red banners of the combat units will go? They will not be handed over to museums - the UINP will not allow them. Is it that they will be dragged to the museum of totalitarianism and Soviet occupation? But then the question will arise: who liberated the Ukrainian SSR, the USSR and the countries of Europe during the Great Patriotic War and World War II?
On the other hand, do the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Border Service, the National Guard need these banners, these orders and these heroic names?
Almost the entire Ukrainian army lost all the military exploits of their ancestors and their fellow soldiers from the past, killing their fellow citizens, shooting children and old people. Do punishers need banners and orders of the past?
And therefore, maybe Poroshenko is right, having deprived the punitive regiments of orders and names, castrating their glory?
Take, say, the Ukrainian aviation (now the former 114th Tallinn Order of the Red Banner brigade, 204th Sevastopol tactical aviation brigade), which bombed residential areas in Lugansk, Donetsk, Yenakiyevo. After their missiles tore the kids to pieces, the officers would have to shoot, but they, like, for example, Colonel Andrei Fandeev, are proudly screwing Poroshenko's branzulets onto their uniforms.
It would be absurd if the 25th Guards Moscow Brigade of Transport Aviation, which transferred the punitive forces to Lugansk, continued to bear the name "Moscow". And the 456th Guards Volgograd Order of the Red Banner Brigade of Transport Aviation would still be called "Volgograd".
It is surprising that after enormous losses for aviation, Poroshenko did not deprive these units of the ranks of the guards.

Now on the ground.
The 80th separate airmobile brigade of the Order of the Red Star (commanded by Colonel AT Kovalchuk), based in Lvov, not only became famous for its exploits against the old women of Sukhodolsk, but also for joint operations with the Aydar battalions and Kolomoisky's Judeobander army. By the way, the militias beat them about.
The 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Kharkov twice Order of the Red Banner, the Order of Suvorov and Kutuzov, the brigade was marked with bloody traces in Selidovo, Karlovka, Pervomaisk, Avdeevka and Pesky. It was their commander, Colonel Mikatsa, who disgraced Givi.
The 17th Separate Guards Tank Kryvyi Rih Orders of the Red Banner and Suvorov Brigade fought in the village of Lugansk and near Donetsk. They call themselves "cyborgs". Why do cyborgs need Soviet orders?
1st Separate Guards Tank Novgorodskaya of the Order of the Red Banner, Kutuzov, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Alexander Nevsky brigade managed to fight in almost all Donbass directions. And there was a bit too.
The 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Novograd-Volynsk Rivne Order of the Red Banner and the Suvorov Brigade was formed in Samarkand as the 83rd Cavalry Division. She became famous at the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and disgraced herself in the Donbass. This brigade destroyed Saur-Mogila, destroyed Kramatorsk. This brigade was defeated in Debaltseve.
A similar fate, only in Zelenopolye, was waiting for the 72nd separate guards mechanized Krasnograd-Kiev brigade of the Order of the Red Banner (commander Colonel A. N. Grishchenko).
Back in 1918, the legendary Iron Division of Guy Guy was created. Her combat path is the history of the Soviet army. After 1991, the division remained on the territory of Ukraine, from it formed the 24th separate mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk, Berdichev, Iron Orders of the October Revolution, Suvorov, Bogdan Khmelnitsky, three times the Order of the Red Banner, named after Prince Daniil Galitsky brigade. It was this brigade that cleaned Slavyansk, Krasny Liman, Yampol. By the way, it also suffered heavy losses.

Ukrainian artillerymen are a special topic, for on their hands are rivers of blood of the unfortunate inhabitants of Donetsk and Luhansk cities.
Rocket launchers "Grad", missile "Tochka-U", artillery systems "Msta", "Hyacinths", "Astra", at the command of Ukrainian commanders, generously bombarded fellow citizens with deadly metal and phosphorus shells.
55th separate Budapest Order of the Red Banner, Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Alexander Nevsky brigade (commander Colonel S. E. Brusov), 15th Guards Rocket Artillery Kiev Orders of Lenin, Red Banner, Bogdan Khmelnitsky and Alexander Nevsky Regiment, 107th Rocket Artillery Regiment The Leningrad Order of Kutuzov regiment from Kremenchug … It was their guns that hacked Gorlovka and Artemovsk, destroyed the residential quarters of Lugansk.
At one time, the 128th Separate Guards Mountain Rifle Turkestan-Transcarpathian Twice Order of the Red Star Brigade was considered the pride and elite of the USSR Armed Forces. Once upon a time, during the times of the USSR, she effectively participated in almost many military operations, real heroes served in her. Now she is known for her inglorious surrender in Debaltseve, which is considered by Poroshenko's headquarters to be a kind of special "victory." And mountain shooters from the Carpathian vuyk were noted in the Donbass by merciless looting, as, in fact, motorized riflemen and "aeromobiles".
And of course, Poroshenko's separate Kiev Order of the Red Banner Presidential Regiment (formed at one time in Moscow as the 290th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the USSR Internal Troops) earned the deprivation of the order and honorary denomination.
The regiment has been renamed for the second time, because, ironically, since September 1943 it has been called "Novorossiysk". And it already looked like trolling!

By the way, in such a high-speed pursuit of cancellations and renaming, sooner or later units and subdivisions of the current Ukrainian army will have to give up their guards ranks, St. George ribbons, which are found on almost all chevrons. And then from vests, maroon and blue berets - for this is the property of another army and another memory.
This is in the event that HISTORY does not pass a different verdict to both the state and its army, freeing them from the colonial rule and nationalist policy of Kiev.
