The following advice comes from a former GRU officer hiding under the nickname Raccoon. Unfortunately, all contacts with him have been lost. The scenario is similar - civil war or war.
… One way or another, the scenarios may be different. The bottom line is always the same: you need to survive the first two weeks, and then “it will be seen” (and this does not mean that you need to stay at home for two weeks). Scenario "A" should not bother you too much, if a Chech or some other kaku is transferred to Moscow, then there will be people to "work" on them. You don't need to get into this. So rule number one was born. There is no need to go anywhere, especially in a "fight". There will always be "thugs" for this. Your task is to “preserve labor resources,” that is, yourself.
As for the two remaining options. In the case of "B" you will have to fight, if you like, of course. In the case of "B" - you can no longer fight. Homeland pissed away. You will decide for yourself, according to the situation. You can "die of the brave", you can work and live on, if given.
The main thing to remember is that there will always be about three degrees of "butt". Local battles, full-scale war, hopeless occupation with the subsequent dismemberment of the country. I explain this so that there is an understanding of a very important point that people usually forget about when stressed: your actions depend on the situation. No amateur performances, just common sense.
Shooting on the street is not the end of the world. Even if you have a primary treatment center for the wounded at the entrance, and there is a 120mm mortar in the yard, this does not mean that you need to run urgently (although if the mortar, then the position must be changed, it will certainly be smashed with you).
Yes, yes, shooting and corpses doesn’t mean anything, oddly enough. An untimely maneuver "dump to hell" can cost you your life. Do not fuss, do not panic, look, WHO is shooting at WHOM, and most importantly why.
While we're in town
If, in the course of events and riots, you have decided to flee, then I will try to briefly spread your chances. In a city like Moscow or St. Petersburg, there is very little chance of survival. There is no sufficient supply of food in the cities and no one will distribute it in case of unrest. There is food only in stores and at food bases (you can forget about them, troops or bandits will appear there immediately).
It makes sense to buy food on the first day, when they are still selling; then the stores will be closed, and the staff will start to scamper. If the moment with the "purchase" has been clicked, then the gun is in hand and we are going to "privatize". I advise you to contract a neighbor for this business and not one, firstly, you will take more food, since you still need someone to cover you from the same fellows who met you inside or on the way back; secondly, your firepower with a smoothbore is somewhere around zero and an extra pair of barrels will not hurt, but remember, if you bring too many people with you, then you are a "group target", and it will be very sad to "share" the swag (3-4 people, no more need to take with you).
Of course, you must have food and water supplies in your apartment. The situation with water is even worse, there will be no supply. If you run out of water from the tap, you have a toilet cistern. DON'T DARE DRAIN THIS WATER! It is no different from tap water, one riser with cold water. And this is a week to live and not grieve (well, not to die, that's for sure). If possible, then a couple of canisters in the teeth and "gut" the dressing. Fuels and lubricants are very important. But remember, you can't keep him in the apartment. The vapors are highly flammable. Make a cache, better in the attic, in the basement people will hide from shelling.
They are unlikely to kill you. In "troubled waters" no one wastes ammunition on people without weapons. Of course, this is not a reason to go for a full-length walk before bed, but remember that you are not # 1 goal. As the experience of the city of Grozny has shown, the men who are howling in full force are quite real, they completely ignore the locals, not up to them. Of course, the "fool" can always fly, especially at dusk, but still not so bad.
Remember that you should not be located, either near the television center, or with an infrastructure facility, and, of course, if people with weapons entered the apartment and "informed" you that now they have a machine-gun crew here, then you tell them "OK, settle down, "and dump. No "This is my property, I will not go anywhere" - this is a bullet in the forehead right away, they have no time for you, if you interfere - you will lie down. Leave even if you don't ask. Since their opponents can "cover" your apartment at any moment, and they will not shoot with stones from slingshots.
It's better not to jump in front of the hospital either. The parties to the conflict will bring the wounded there, perhaps they will try to reclaim this strategic building for themselves. There will be firing. In the case of bombing, someone will certainly zhahnat the hospital, do not even hesitate, those who wrote the Geneva Convention, as a rule, are not in the GT, this makes its observance somewhat conditional. As in "Pirates of the Caribbean": "This is not a set of laws, but rather a set of rules to be followed."
Remember, as soon as such a batch begins, your property is no longer there. And I strongly advise you not to arise. You need to kill if someone reaches out to your food and water. Everything else is nonsense. If you exchange a car for a machine gun in the arms room of the nearest police station, then you are a great fellow. Even if you have exchanged a new Mercedes for a used AKSU and only 2-3 stores, then you are still a great fellow. You don't need a car anymore. You will not be able to leave the city on it 100%, but the desire to shoot at you will be very serious. While you are in the city, I do not advise you to wear camouflage clothing, otherwise it may "arrive".
So what we have predicted now. In our city "M" street fighting began. We made the decision, due to circumstances or tactical considerations, to stay in the city (although this is a bad idea, almost always). We know that you can start robbing shops as early as the second day, there is a weapon in the nearest police station, there is a little water in the toilet cistern (if you get hold of a couple of drinking bottles in a store - even better), your property is no longer there, a man with a weapon is always right, there where there is a man with a weapon - there should not be you, who dresses like a military man - is at war (even if he does not want to), a cache with fuels and lubricants is a big plus (fuels and lubricants, by the way, can become a currency commensurate in liquidity with weapons and ammunition), to important objects don't even get close.
And here's another thing. NEVER WALK ANYWHERE SIMPLY SO, ESPECIALLY "LOOK WHAT IS THERE." In urban combat, many things are done "in a quiet", reconnaissance and sabotage method. Any reconnaissance group, seeing you, 100%, will go to cut you. In the movies, they point the finger "quietly" and move on. In real life, you will be stabbed on the spot. Their survival and fulfillment of the task depends on the absence of witnesses. Moreover, a group taking up a position in a maneuverable urban battle will do the same if you “spot” their positions and move on. Even the machine-gun crew at the intersection, which has just "dug in", will not harbor warm feelings for you. So if they noticed you from afar and beckon to “talk” with their finger, turn around and run as fast as you can. Guys can smile, look friendly, lure with a swag - come up, and everything will change. Locals often have to "work out" if they get caught along the way. So we don’t ask questions, we don’t get out of our "shell" once again.
We decided to leave the city
Now we're starting to get out of town. The problem is this: either the city is closed, or there are battles in it. If, due to circumstances, you missed the moment of the beginning of active battles, this is very bad, but it does not mean that you are doomed. You can always leave the city. There are two points here, regardless of the situation. First: movement around the city, second: passage through the cordon. There are ring roads around large settlements - this is the main problem.
Motorized riflemen on boxes in a few hours, moving on smooth asphalt, will take the city into a ring. If this happened, then drop all thoughts of "slip through unnoticed" at once. Any "incomprehensible" movement is, in the conditions of battles, immediately turn, and the golden rule "I don't see - I don't shoot" often does not work. We go to the cordon to surrender in good faith. But we haven't gotten to that yet …
Yes, here's another thing: DO NOT SIT IN A CAR !!! Any transport in the city will be 100% fired upon.
So, we have with us a backpack with a swag necessary for survival, ideally, a small-sized weapon (aksu + a pistol, a standard cop's set), and another small bag that duplicates the main backpack, only on a much more modest scale (for example, in a backpack you have food for three days, and in your bag for another day, etc.). The bag is closer to the body, and do not take off. It is very important to take with you separately, even in your underpants, carry all the jewelry that you find.
Cover the backpack with a white sheet and attach it to it. This is necessary so that any warrior who spotted you (and there will be many of them, and the city do not even hope to pass unnoticed) would see that you are a CIVIL and did not decide to "open" his position for you. You will be escorted in the crosshair and you will move on. Of course, you are not marching along the main avenue, but you don’t have to be smeared with mud, a la Schwarzenegger - you will be grazed and shot, because they will not understand who you are and what you are. Accordingly, there is no camouflage on you.
You are a civilian and you must look like a civilian, with a white backpack like a white flag, otherwise you will be shot. You should show with all your appearance that you are not of interest, you just dump. Of course, the weapon is with you, only you do not carry it over your head, but hide it. Pistol in your pocket (cocked). If you get hold of an assault rifle - (ideally aksu), fold the stock and hide it under your jacket. I advise you to remove the fuse on the machine immediately, it can be hard, you can get confused. The cartridge is in the chamber, of course. There should not be any bulky things on the chest, at most a hidden machine gun - if you have to fall, then you will lie on some kind of purse that will lift you off the ground, it will be easier to hit you.
If a man with a weapon is heading towards you, you stop “without tricks,” at the positions of his comrades. He, most likely, will gut you on the swag, would like to shoot you - he would have already shot you. Will take away the backpack - give it back (we would still give it at the exit from the city, at the cordon), ask to leave you a sheet (put it on your back) and a bag (small, in which we duplicated everything in smaller quantities). This is a purely psychological moment, we calmly give big things and ask them to leave small things to us, as a rule, people agree, this was our calculation from the very beginning. Nobody will let you go out with a bunch of swag, everyone needs to.
We say that we have a submachine gun (we don’t take it out and show it, but calmly talk about its availability) and ask to leave it - they will take 100% of it, but this will allow you to keep the pistol (don’t talk about it, if you give it back, you will hardly be hounded), the machine would have been noticed anyway, but if you handed it in right away, then you are "non-violent". You, as it were, exchange your things for your own. If there was no pistol, it was possible to take a disassembled smoothbore, the main thing is to give "a big and terrible weapon." We proceed from the fact that since you sat up to the cordon and street fighting, then you did not just watch advertisements on TV, and you have already gone to the bazaar in the nearest OM.
About the speed of movement, if you walk around the city 10-15 kilometers a day, then this is an excellent speed. Remember that you will not go straight, but will zip through the neighborhoods, as local battles will take place. Accordingly, if there are 10 kilometers from your house to the ring road on the map, this does not mean that you will pass them in a day. You go AFTERNOON. Usually they move at night, but any goon who walks in the night - 10 out of 10 will get a bullet. We walk in the afternoon with a white sheet, we surrender, we will hide - we will gather fire on ourselves.
Reach the cordon or barrage cordons, drop your pistol, and with your hands raised in an active voice, actively demonstrating that you are here, showing a white rag, going to the soldiers. You do not go anywhere, you go to the checkpoint or support, if you need to go to it with your hands up 200-300 meters. The bottom line is that the post is equipped for "reception" and there the soldiers feel more comfortable, so there will be less desire to shoot. They start to whine you. You have already thrown off the weapon, you are a "quiet man in the street", an officer will come out to you. Most likely a lieutenant, no older. This is to the fact that you don't need to be especially subservient to him. You offer to exchange valuables for the "right of way". Certainly not with subordinates. If everything went well, then you left the city.
On the way, you will 100% lose almost all the swag and all the weapons, having spent 1-2 days of travel for a ridiculous distance. AND THIS IS NORMAL. The city, taken in the ring, is a huge prisoner camp. You can give anything you want just to get out. Because the hunger will start inside and soon enough.
So, we go carefully, but do not hide as "scouts". We are dressed as civilians and we have a white rag on our backs (from the front it will be clear that you have no weapons, but from the back it will not be clear about weapons, you need to be sure). We have a small bag with a vital swag. There is jewelry (gold) as a currency. A weapon with which we do not forget to part before we approach the military at the post (if you are accepted with a weapon, it will be difficult to explain that you are a civilian; you will either be written down as deserters or as an enemy disguised). If you half-empty left the city for 1-3 days, moving from district to district, then this is normal.
From personal experience, regular peanut sneakers are very nutritious. 6 double sneakers is a man's daily calorie requirement. Heating food may not work (most likely). Snickers are certainly not a buffet, but the war is going on, do not be picky about food. The sneaker theme was honestly stolen from the Chechens. They are fighting on them. You can have a snack right along the way, a very good topic, with sugar, glucose, it raises your mood (considering that you will be in a terrible psychophysical state - glucose is very useful).
The main thing is to understand that the guys with machine guns are very tense, they are being shot at. Giving them a reason to shoot you is very easy. So be careful not to show off. The muzzle is simpler, to agree to everything.
So, now I will very briefly tell you where and why you need to dump. Remember, until now, we have deliberately analyzed the HARDEST SCENARIOS. We will do the same now. I do it on purpose, "why?", I think there is no need to explain.
So, the worst option: we almost without food and weapons ended up outside the city. Ideally, each of you should take, in advance (now), a map and throw several places on the map where you can retreat. NO HEROES! Let the foam come off, and there you will already figure out where and what is happening. You must select the seats in the DIRECTION OF THE SIDES OF THE LIGHT. A simple example: SPB. Most likely, you will not have to retreat to the West. To the South is also meaningless. You will go either to the North, to Karelia, or to the East, to the Novgorod, Tver, regions. With Moscow, about the same, North (Arkhangelsk direction) or East (Ural ridge).
Remember: DO NOT approach military objectives! The idea that "their Russian soldiers", at the base in the region, will receive and feed is nonsense. In the BEST case, the officers will send you, they are not up to you, this is not a reception center for refugees. But the fact that the bombing of the object can begin is an objective reality. Also, do not forget the following point: now the term is being held “next to” the house. If the "kneading" has begun, it is better not even to imagine what is going on in the head of the military, relatives and friends, whom may still remain in the city. Remember - all people. The military is just as worried, nervous and freaked out, like all ordinary people. But they do it with weapons in hand. So the idea that "the soldiers will help" is not a good idea.
In general, according to your mind, you should have a "house in the village" in which in the underground there is a cache of stew, canned food, water, medicines, etc., where you must retreat. The Chechens did just that, they went to the villages and villages. But we proceed from the worst scenarios, since many do not have such real estate.
So, it's easier for me on the example of St. Petersburg. Now I'll figure it out on the map. So, for each direction we must have at least two places. Near and far. For a close friend, I recommend using any tourist camp near a small settlement. If you have been in nature near some lake or river, for example, on barbecue, then it is quite possible to go there. First, you will know what to expect. You will understand about the availability of drinking water and food there. Second, you know the place. This will greatly support you psychologically. Refugees are a very sad picture, it's hard to look at them. But the “herd” exodus of refugees may not be organized by anyone, and you will dump alone and without an end point where “some” red cross will accept you. Most likely, it will be so, do not even hesitate.
The first serious "benefactors" appeared in Chechnya after the first war. For two years the civilians were on their own. So, we have two points near the city. Now we need two points for a "deep" retreat. If you retreat to the North, then I would suggest the Solovetsky Monastery (on an island in the White Sea). There is a village. Rabocheostrovsk, it has a ferry crossing. Of course, no ferry will run anymore, but at the river station you can always "privatize" a rowboat. The White Sea is relatively calm. It is real to swim (difficult - but you can, you have no more reasons to whine, so we row). In the East, I would retreat to the Iversky Monastery in Tver region. It is also located on a small island in the middle of the lake. Nearby there are food warehouses and production facilities (along the M10 highway).
Why monasteries? They will not be bombed in the first place (this does not mean that the list of targets will not change in the second stage). Yes, one more thing: leave the thought of Christian virtue at once. Nobody is waiting for you there and you will not be welcome. You go there to actually be sold into slavery. Will you work for them, housework, guard or something else - they will feed you. You go and say right away: "I am a strong healthy man, I will do any work for you, for food." Forget about the moral responsibility of priests to the laity right away, and better not even open your mouth about this.
Of course, everything is conditional. You can choose a different location. But the main principle: your property is no longer there, you are quite happy, to be in a semi-slave position if you are fed. By the way, the absence of your property also means that no one else has it. Anyone who cannot defend his property with a weapon does not have property. This is for conversation: how to get vehicles.
Of course, there is no longer any public transport. It is a plus for us that now we can get into the car. The car can be "privatized" or found abandoned. An abandoned car with an empty tank does not need to be touched. You cannot reach the fuel and lubricants, and even if you push it, nothing will shine for you at the gas station. Get hold of a car - hang it with white rags, ideally make a "cross" on the roof with red tape (this is not a panacea, such vehicles are bombed, but there are more chances that they will score more on you).
Move slowly! 50-60 km / h. This was done for one simple reason: there may be ribbons with the military on the highway, if you go on them quickly, some “Ivan” will definitely shoot “just in case”. Any civilians who want to stop you - are not quoted - gas (they will not share with you, but they will ask you to "share"). If there is a ribbon or a separate box - slow down on the side of the road and stick out your hands up through the window or ajar. There is no need to get out of the car (you get out - there will be a desire to sneak you). Sit calmly and without nerves and pray silently. I don't advise you to “burn through” the guys with a glance, look at the floor or forward.
If everything works out, then you have a roof over your head, work, food and people to talk to (this is also important). Now you can wait a week or two, see what is happening, assess the situation in the country and make further decisions.
Now a little cynicism. If you have a wagon train from your family, you are a dead man. If you have a family, then you must leave the city and be at the dacha (with supplies of food and water) in the very first seconds, as soon as people on the streets started swearing about Great Pu. If you do not have positions for retreat and have a "train" - you are a walking two-hundred, and a train too. Do not be stupid, get ready in advance, loved ones SHOULD BE TAKING SOMEWHERE. And they must have food. Then do whatever you want. If you want - go back and fight, if you want - come back and go to the clubs while the wife is "on potatoes." But the main thing is to think about them in advance, then it will be too late. Everything that I have told you so far is all for the "loners" who have nothing to lose. If you have a family, get ready in advance. As history has shown, the family is dearer than the Motherland, at least at the first stage.
We decided to take part in the hostilities
Further I will talk about some specifics of the database. How to behave if you have seen enough patriotic films and decided to “die for the graves of grandfathers”. So that it does not turn into a "virtual club of thugs" - I will tell you some specific little things in theses.
So, we start butting. This could have happened from the very beginning, or we previously ran and hid. The main thing is to understand that even if you are Rimbaud, you will not do anything alone. War is a team sport. Therefore, you must certainly join one of the parties to the conflict. Once again: you cannot fight alone! Even Vasya Zaitsev was fed and supplied with ammunition, so no tricks, commandos. Agree, volunteer, for any dirtiest job, but as part of the Armed Forces. Even if you are made a "shrew" - that is also good.
Immediately I say, any thoughts, aspirations and hopes that everything will be simple and understandable - discard immediately.
- In the army, no one always really understands anything. Most of the officers are tyrants, and the number of moral monsters who are eager to fight will go off scale. And this is normal (or rather, not normal, but the norm). Remember, no matter how smart you are - you stick your brains in as deep as possible, and do everything exactly as you are told. Even if this is some kind of stupid evidence, you are NOT IMPROVISING. Everything is in accordance with the charter and orders. Whoever begins to "play smart", no matter how logical and reasonable it may seem, always gets caught up in the air.
- Remember, if the "insiders" yell at you - it's not bad. No need to snap back. It's bad when they shoot at you. And it also happens, since it is quite difficult to figure out where your own and where others are. The battles are maneuverable and the positions are constantly changing. You can confidently wage a battle for several hours until the headquarters realizes, by radio communications, that you are shooting at each other. So it also happens. And then there is no need to make claims to the "opponents", they did not like it either.
- Remember the weapon is always on the safety. You remove from it only if you start shooting or walk in the "head patrol" (but YOU are unlikely to find yourself there, the commanders will not risk it). If next to you, on the march, there is a fool with the fuse removed - correct it. DO NOT PULL YOUR HANDS TO THE WEAPON. Correct with words, tell him about the fuse. If he refuses, then make the decision yourself: you can tell the sergeant or the officer, you can score as you like. But remember that a lot of guys were packed in 200 because of assholes who are careless with weapons. On the other hand, the fighter whom you substitute in front of the commander can then shoot at you. Decide for yourself. Better stand your ground and squeeze it yourself, if the character allows.
- Never aim a weapon at your own people. Even as a "joke", even set to safety, even with the magazine unfastened. You will be "punished" for such a trick.
- On AK, the fuse has three positions. Actually, blocking, automatic fire and single. If in panic you suddenly remove the fuse, then surely lower it all the way and put, thereby, in the single fire mode. This is done so that the fighter, distraught with horror, would not lose the magazine in a second and would not be left without cartridges. Remember this.
- The fuse on the AK clanks rather disgustingly. If you need to take it off quietly, then pull it back and smoothly switch it to the desired fire mode (this is, almost always, a single fire).
- Jump on the spot before going out. Make sure nothing is clanging or strumming at you. It is better to rewind the sling swivel to the weapon with electrical tape or bandage. The cartridge is in the chamber, and on the fuse.
- Examine the shooting tables for your weapon. The bullet is NOT FLYING DIRECT. It has a ballistic trajectory with overshoot and overshoot. Therefore, a competent determination of the distance to the target and knowledge of the shooting table is a good opportunity to hit quickly, and therefore reduce the time while they shoot at you.
- The wind affects the trajectory of the bullet. Study the effect of the wind on your weapon IN ADVANCE, and not on a hike and on a peephole.
- If you have the opportunity to choose a weapon - take the same (the same caliber) as most of your comrades. You can't carry a lot of cartridges on yourself, but they end quickly, especially in the city, so if they can share with you, this is a big plus. If your comrade was killed, do not hesitate to replenish your ammunition (after having received permission from the commander).
- If you go to "autonomous", then you take 360 rounds of ammunition (that's 12 magazines) and the same amount, but in packs you just throw them into your backpack. Save a lot in weight.
- Remember that the magazines located on the chest and abdomen are additional armor protection.
“Most of the deaths and injuries come from shrapnel. An ordinary padded jacket is quite capable of protecting you from small fragments. Hanging on top of the unloading with stores - you can consider yourself relatively protected. Don't forget to raise the gate.
- Bulletproof vest is very good. Any. Even the most used one.
“If a bullet hit your armor, it doesn't mean that he saved you. Since the energy of a bullet, stopped by an element of armor, is capable of inflicting a monstrous armor damage on you. Breaks the ribs almost always. Ordinary rupture is also possible. So if there is no hole in you, this is not a reason to rejoice. It happens that the hole would be "preferable".
- Don't touch the grenade launchers. It is difficult to shoot them. Leave that to more experienced comrades.
- After spending several days in the fresh air, a smoker can be detected at a distance of 70-100 meters. Quit smoking.
- If you heard something, stop the group and "give silence." Listen carefully. Even if you slow down the group every five minutes, only rare idiots will swear at you.
- You never stop, you do not continue to stand. You need to kneel or lie down. It's very exhausting, but it's a matter of survival for the whole group. If someone is too lazy to sit down, force him.
- There should not be a finger on the trigger, even if the weapon is secured.
- On the marches, put the machine gun on your hands and fold them on your chest with a cross. It's easier to carry that way. In this case, the thumb of the right hand is always ready to remove from the safety catch, and throw up the weapon quickly enough.
- The belt (automatic) is always around the neck. Otherwise, if you fall into an ambush, there will be a mine explosion and you will fly in one direction, and your weapon in the other, and you turn from an easy 300 into 200.
- Don't sleep at the post. If you fall asleep, not only your enemies will want to shoot you. In the Second World War, for this, as well as for the loss of weapons, they were officially shot. Now they are shooting unofficially.
- You can pee on your knees without turning into a standing growth target.
- To go to the toilet ONLY two by two. One shit - the second covers. If no one wants to go with you, bear with it.
- Sneeze into yourself.
- He who runs slowly dies quickly.
- The effectiveness of grenades is overrated. There were cases when a grenade exploded in a small room, and there were only light concussions inside.
- You can't pull the check out with your teeth. Only with your fingers.
- If you are carrying out a sweep (the last hours of your life), then, as in a joke: you enter the room together, first a grenade, then you.
- Standing in front of the door and waiting for your comrades who are going to storm, hold the door so that it cannot be opened. Otherwise, you will see either a grenade or a barrel in the corridor.
- Roll the grenade on the floor. Do not throw.
- They rolled a grenade, an explosion, rolled another one, but uncocked. Let them try to hide again.
- Do not run in front of a friend's trunk. You block his ability to shoot.
- Any closed door is IMPACTABLE, as it can be mined.
- Do not open the drawers, do not turn on the electronics. Do not touch anything. Everything can be mined. It is important. Up to the point that you cannot open the refrigerator, even if you really want to eat, and lift the toilet lid.
- There may be breaks in the walls covered with rags or carpets. So the enemy can quickly run from front to front. Remember this. The fact that you are in an extreme apartment does not mean that you cannot enter from the next one through the wall.
- You can hang nets from old Soviet beds on the windows. They stop VOGs well.
- You may hear meowing, for example, from behind a closet door. I'm sorry, but the animal is doomed. Most likely, he was locked up there along with a grenade. You cannot open it. This is a very difficult moment, always, in such difficult situations, you want to remain human, but …
- If you need to shoot from the premises to the street, then you do not need to crawl to the windowsill or stand to the side of the window. Go deeper into the room, stand on a stool, covered with a wall, or the like. And don't turn on the light, you can't, don't light yourself up (I'm not talking about VU).
- Shards of brick or concrete, knocked out by fire, have the ability to fly at you. On eye contact … you get the idea.
- It's useless to shoot people from a grenade launcher. Although now, it seems, they began to make high-explosive fragmentation shells, but, IMHO, this is heresy.
- It's a bad idea to shoot for a long time without changing position.
- Bend down.
- No need to "figure out the snipers." It’s not your job, and you don’t have enough knowledge. Fight on without paying attention.
- Be prepared, morally, to "work out" the civilians who spotted you. Including women and children. If the prospect is not happy, then move carefully.
- On the AK-74 (a specimen with good accuracy of combat), you can attach the PSO sight from the SVD. At distances of 500-600 meters, the AK-74 and SVD have very close trajectories, the sight will fit perfectly. You will shoot and carry fire, because of the caliber, much faster than with the SVD. And those who decide to look for a sniper will not be interested in you.
- It is NOT POSSIBLE to shoot from the grenade launcher in the room. He has a platoon time. He needs to fly 15-25 meters before the grenade is cocked. Accordingly, it simply will not work indoors.
- Modern RGO and RGN grenades explode FIRSTLY on impact. They have a shock fuse, and an explosion through the gap - this triggers a self-liquidator (in case the grenade fell into loose snow).
- No one, not even sappers, is engaged in the removal of mines and explosive devices. They stupidly undermine them with a TNT stick. There is no need to be clever and start filming VU.
- Normal warriors put secrets on stretch marks so that it is not easy to remove them. So "cutting the thread" is a bad idea. Just walk by. This is not your business; there are senior comrades for this. I will not teach how to do VU and stretch marks. I think you understand that this is an article right away. Learn first aid.
- With injuries, there are venous and arterial bleeding. They are "treated" in different ways. But something else is important here. There is no time in the heat of battle. With venous bleeding, a comrade will die for several hours, and with arterial bleeding literally 10-20 seconds, and then loss of consciousness and hypoxia begins. So, so as not to take a steam bath, quickly apply an arterial tourniquet over the wound (now the interns will start to resent, but this is life, this is not a citizen, you have to break it) and return to battle. Your friend will have half an hour or an hour to figure it out yourself, well, or you will do it when you are free.
- The tourniquet is always at hand! Not in a bag, not in a backpack - either wound on a stock, or in an unloading at hand.
- There are always TWO harnesses with you! You can give one to a wounded comrade and in a minute get a bullet in the femoral artery.
- There is such a thing as "suppression by fire." By actively watering the enemy, it is often possible to shackle his actions without even getting hit and without causing damage to manpower. Especially the tracer will help you.
- Remember the tracer, besides the fact that the trunk is very much stained, they also give out your position. So don't overuse them. Yes, and aimed fire with them is difficult.
- Weapons need to be cleaned every day. Especially gentle in the muzzle brake area. If there is a groove or a hole, then the accuracy of the battle will drop dramatically.
- The last three rounds in the store, it is better to score with tracers. So that an empty store does not come as a surprise to you. Moreover, if you leave one cartridge in the barrel, then you will only have to spur a new magazine, that is, the reload speed will increase.
- Watch your feet, do not be lazy to wash them. Rub it and you are no longer a warrior. - If you see that you can shoot at someone, this is not a reason to shoot. If you are not noticed, ask the commander if you can get involved in the battle.
- If you have noticed someone, but have not seen you yet, do not jump sharply to the side. Peripheral vision will give you away instantly. Sit down gently and smoothly, without rushing, and calmly take a position. It will be much less noticeable.
- Remember, when sending a cartridge into the chamber, the bolt must be released sharply so that it clangs. Otherwise, it will "gag".
Equipment list
FOR WAR! Not for hiking! Designation system: items marked with an asterisk are items that are NOT the primary purchase. I am mixing things for different seasons (but this does not mean that all this needs to be shoved into one backpack), it is not necessary to drag all this with a crash, of course. You should have everything at home. So that you can change the equipment yourself for different tasks. I'll make a reservation right away, I'm not a fan of Gorki. I prefer a good tight field uniform and over camouflage coats, so "Gorki" will not be on the list.

In medicine
You take what you personally need under your personal ailments. Plus: 3 arterial tourniquets, 2-3 PPIs, a lot of bandages, scissors, suture material, pain reliever (pills if they get sick, for example, teeth), disinfectant. You also need promedol and some HARD antibiotics (but you are unlikely to buy them in a pharmacy without a prescription). Activated carbon will not be superfluous, otherwise, under stress, the stomach, it happens, starts to engage in nonsense. I also advise you to collect the kit in ampoules from ketanov, dexamethasone and cordiamine. Well, a syringe for them, of course. This is an anti-shock kit. It will not let your heart rise due to the fact that the brain has collapsed your pressure from pain or blood loss (and, as a rule, they are walking somewhere nearby).
