A summary of the conspiracy of Poland-Baltic-Ukraine and the collective West on the subject of the Russian-Belarusian military maneuvers "West-2017": a) Russia will introduce troops, but will not withdraw; b) Russian troops will use the territory of Belarus to control the Suwalki corridor by cutting off the Baltic states from the rest of the civilized and democratic world; c) Putin's army, without declaring war, will attack NATO and annex everything that comes into its sight. And so on and so forth.

Grybauskaite was going to almost personally observe how Russia will withdraw its servicemen back. In the North Atlantic military bloc, from which several dozen military observers and media representatives have been invited to the Russian-Belarusian maneuvers, Zapad-2017 is called “insufficiently open maneuvers,” without specifying what else Moscow and Minsk should do to the maneuvers were still called open or at least transparent. Poland, through the mouth of representatives of the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the political science expert community, declares that Russia "is provoking a major military conflict."

Polish Radio quotes the statement of the portal's observer Juliusz Sabak:

This flexing of Russia's muscles and demonstration of its strength does not exclude some actions to further destabilize the situation in the region. The very fact of such a concentration of Russian forces, and about 90-100 thousand soldiers, including reservists from the western military districts, will take part in the Zapad-2017 maneuvers and adjacent exercises, should already cause great concern. After all, this is military power, manpower and equipment that none of the countries neighboring Russia could cope with independently.

This kind of rhetoric becomes more and more loud as the start of the Russian-Belarusian military maneuvers approaches (the start is scheduled for September 14).

At the same time, it should be noted that the “partners” are doing everything to voice the number of forces and means that are many times greater than reality. So, in total, less than 13 thousand servicemen will take part in the West-2017 maneuvers from Belarus and Russia. As you can see, the Polish expert weaves here some "contiguous teachings" and announces to the Polish radio listeners the value of under 100 thousand "bayonets". Why this is done is understandable. After all, any person who understands at least something in military tactics and strategy understands that all these screams about aggression are a bloated soap bubble for the simple reason that if the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were suddenly going to seize someone or cut off / cut a corridor, then for sure would not report the date of the "start of the offensive". Moreover, to carry out an "invasion" into the territory of NATO countries by forces numerically equal, in fact, to one division is not even funny …

In general, for the Europeans (and first of all - the Poles and the Balts), a terrible image of Russia is drawn - so terrible that even a division seems capable of capturing almost all of Mother Europe. You get acquainted with the publications of the Western media and one gets the impression that just a little more and in some Polish newspaper there will appear something from the series "Russian soldiers drink the blood of European babies." Yeah. No wonder they talk about the cyclical nature of history.

So, what forces and means will actually be involved in the Zapad-2017 maneuvers? Here are the data that are published not only in the media, they are also sent to NATO functionaries so that they scratch their "turnips" for openness:

7200 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Belarus, 5, 5 thous. Russian military. At the same time, out of the 5, 5 thousand Russians indicated, only 3 thousand.

Equipment and weapons: up to 70 planes and helicopters, before 250 tanks, about 200 artillery pieces, MLRS and mortars, about 300 military vehicles, as well as armored personnel carriers, BMP, BMD. From the Russian Federation - even before 10 warships and auxiliary vessels.

On the Belarusian territory, six training grounds will be used for the maneuvers: Borisovsky, Domanovsky, Lepelsky, Vitebsk Losvido, Osipovichsky and Ruzhansky.

In addition to the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the maneuvers will be held on the territory of the Kaliningrad, Pskov and Leningrad regions of the Russian Federation.

From the official explanation of the maneuver script:

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus emphasize:

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also had to get involved in the matter of specifying the issues of the maneuvers. At the same time, the head of Belarus noted that when covering the preparation for the exercises and their progress, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus "should stop making excuses."

BelTA quotes Lukashenka's statement:

On the eve of the start of the active phase of the Zapad-2017 exercises, I would like to hear information from the Ministry of Defense, what is the situation in this regard? At the same time, I want to warn you: stop making excuses - our teachings are defensive in nature, something else. There is an army, there is a joint grouping of Belarus and Russia in the western direction. And since she exists (we did not hide it from anyone), we will teach her to fight. Just in case. We are not going to attack anyone. And what these teachings will be - we have invited almost everyone.

And what will happen next: the maneuvers will end, the troops will return to the points of permanent deployment, and those conspiracy theorists who are now splashing everyone with saliva, trying to “prove” Russia's aggressive intentions during the exercises, will calmly shut their mouths and, without even bothering to explain why their predictions went bust, will begin to look for new reasons to bark in the direction of Russia.

But Lukashenko is right (even though he appealed exclusively to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Bashkortostan): too often we (the Union State) try to make excuses to someone, automatically putting ourselves in an awkward position. For years, NATO has been building its infrastructure near our borders - a hostile bloc with missile systems and a growing number of battalions, and again we are justifying ourselves. Where is the logic, sir?..
