Some people in Europe really felt better. And the reason for this is not the work of super-spies, not some traitors from among the Russians, but the most that neither is the army functionaries. It is to them that those who happily broadcast today that it is possible to disperse, the Su-57 will not be referred to!

In general, I wonder how they look at what we have here. After researching a number of foreign media, I settled on two. Italian Gli Occhi Della Guerra and Japanese The Diplomat.

Everyone in Europe and Asia was really pleased with the speech of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Yuri Borisov. Much to everyone's delight, Borisov, speaking on Russian television on July 2, announced that Russia had no plans to mass-produce the Su-57 fighter.

The question arises: why?

There is also an answer.

From the point of view of foreigners, Borisov clearly overpriced the Su-57.

Borisov also said about the Su-35, which did not go unnoticed.

And what conclusions did the foreigners make? In principle, correct.

One of the reasons why Russia is not seeking mass production of aircraft at this stage is undoubtedly related to the country's already overburdened defense budget.

Despite the fact that the Italians estimate the cost of one Su-57 at about $ 40-45 million (which is more than 2.5 times cheaper than the American F-35 Lightning II fighter), the first reason they put it is the lack of funds in the military budget of Russia …

The starting batch of 12 fighters, as they say, does not count.

Another reason why the Su-57 will not go into mass production is the numerous technical problems that are not being spoken about "out loud", but which exist.

Quite logical. Mr. Maury even talks about specific things. For example, about the new generation engine, "Product 30". If the engine is ready, it will not be until 2020.

What is the joy? And the joy of gentlemen from NATO is that, in spite of everything, they very seriously at one time appreciated the Su-57. And they are very critical of the MiG-29 and Su-27, for which, according to foreigners, the Su-57 was being prepared to replace.

And according to the Italians, with proper equipment, that is, second-generation engines, the Su-57 will be able to carry both conventional and nuclear weapons.

They are especially unnerved by the possibility of arming a low-signature aircraft with Kh-35UE and Bramos cruise missiles (it is clear from the text that it is Yakhont or Onyx).

Potential opponents console themselves with the fact that the price for the possibility of suspending such weapons (both in the literal and figurative sense of the word) will be a decrease in stealth, since neither Brahmos nor Onyx will fit into the inner compartment of the aircraft and, therefore, must will be transported under the wings of the aircraft, which will definitely reduce the stealth of the fighter.

In general, Italians really praise the plane and are frankly happy that it will not be there. In general, since there is a rejection of the mass construction of the Su-57 for the Russian Aerospace Forces, why not praise?

The Japanese went considerably further.

I will quote the "diplomats".

No, well done, there is nothing to say. Well laid out. For their reader, they worked it out clearly, and did not even praise the Su-57.

True, the price was somewhat overestimated, but yes, these are arguments in favor of the poor. Correctly, what kind of airplanes, to the devil, when you need to build sports facilities, which with the first rain will wash into the Volga and the heels of Yeltsin-centers, one and a half to two billion each?

Not up to the Su-57, obviously.

The Japanese went further, at the same time listing all the negative events that have happened in Russia recently. They also noted the rejection of the project of a new mobile intercontinental missile RS-26 "Rubezh", and the cancellation of the development of a new supercarrier with an atomic engine "Storm" (thank God, it was canceled!).

Naturally, they did not pass by replacing the PAK DA with the Tu-160, which will be upgraded to the M2 standard. True, the gentlemen from Japan called the Tu-160 "old", but what can I say … Their Mitsubishi and Nakajima are better at strategists, we will envy.

In fact, gentlemen who are not really (or not at all) friends to us, quite clearly see everything that happens.

The Japanese, among other things, clearly saw that the naval shipbuilding in Russia is in a deep crisis. This is true, I agree, but the reasons are somewhat different than the "economic crisis that swept over Russia."

Fair? Fair. And there is nothing to add.

In general, seriously, we should make it a rule not to yell at the whole world, as we all will defeat the next "wunderwolf", "which has no analogues in the world", which will soon go to the troops in thousands of copies, but quietly and calmly do these thousands.

As it was done in the Soviet Union, when our opponents drank Valocordin in glasses instead of whiskey because of the sudden information that the Russians had done them again.

And so far we have the opposite. We seem to be on a horse, sort of like "we will defeat everyone," and then (not for the first time) there is such a quiet drain. Say, why do we need the Su-57, if there is a Su-35S, which is not worse, but cheaper? Why is there this "Armata" and "Boomerang" when we have not yet scrapped all the BMP-1 and T-72B? Why do we need the PAK FA, if the Tu-160 is also good?

The question arises: why then yell at the whole world? In addition to neat chuckles at the end or a very hard laugh, this will not bring.

It's a shame for the state. And for the fools who yell at the whole world about peremogs and whisper about spirits.

Silence is sometimes better. And silently roll out everything new.
