Tomorrow, November 16, the eighth international aerospace show Airshow China 2010 - the largest in Asia and one of the largest in the world - opens in the Chinese city of Zhuhai.

Despite a slight decline in China's share in the structure of Russian arms exports, Beijing remains one of the most important Russian partners. In particular, a number of contracts for aircraft and air defense systems continue to be fulfilled.

“The Chinese army is successfully operating Russian equipment, a solid foundation has been built, so we need to look for ways that will take into account the interests of both sides,” said the head of the Rosoboronexport delegation, Sergei Kornev.

Russia brought the latest aircraft to Zhuhai. Su-brand aircraft are represented by the Su-30MK and Su-30MK2 fighters, which are among the most popular, various modifications of which fly in China, India, Malaysia and Venezuela. Fighters of the MiG family - MiG-29SMT, MiG-35 and its two-seater modification - are usually of no less interest abroad. A distinctive feature of the MiG-35 is a successful combination of high flight performance, combat effectiveness, reliability and safety indicators. It is equipped with the Zhuk-AE onboard radar with an active phased array antenna, which detects targets at a distance of up to 150 km and simultaneously accompanies 30 of them. At the same time, in parallel, the pilot can attack several targets with high-precision weapons.

For the training of crews, it is proposed that the Yak-130 combat trainer entering service with our Air Force. Due to its flight characteristics, a special on-board program for simulating combat use modes, today it is considered the most effective pilot training tool for all modern fighters. In addition, the Yak-130 can be successfully used as a light combat aircraft.

Experts will be able to familiarize themselves with the Be-200 amphibious aircraft, which have proven themselves well in fighting fires in Europe and Russia. Other exhibits include the military transport Il-76MD and Il-112V, the Il-78MK tanker, the Il-114MP patrol.

Russia remains one of the world leaders in a number of areas of helicopter construction. This year, compared to 2009, the volume of their exports increased by 30 percent. The Mi family is represented in Zhuhai by the military transport Mi-35M, the military transport Mi-171Sh, the world's most lifting helicopter Mi-26T and its modernized version Mi-26T2. The Mi-26 demonstrated its unique capabilities in China when extinguishing fires and eliminating the consequences of earthquakes. With his help, it was possible to quickly transfer military and rescue units, heavy construction equipment to the destroyed settlements, and also to evacuate the victims. The latest modification of the Mi-26T2 has a reduced crew and is equipped with new avionics, which allows it to fly at any time of the day.

A number of Kamov helicopters will also be presented to the visitors of the exhibition, incl. multipurpose Ka-32 and Ka-226T, Ka-31 radar patrol helicopter. Increased attention is also expected to the combat Ka-52, which features powerful armor and weapons. The unique maneuverability allows the Ka-52 to make combat turns in a short time to take up a favorable attacking position. The helicopter can effectively conduct reconnaissance, observation and target designation, and be used as a command vehicle, coordinating a group of combat helicopters.
