By order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation dated September 30, 2015, the remotely controlled unmanned vehicle (TNLA) "Marlin-350" was accepted for supply to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Recall that in early March, the State tests (GI) of the device were successfully completed, which were carried out in accordance with a specially developed program and methods, according to their results, "Marlin-350", developed and produced by the specialists of the company "Tethys Pro", was recommended for adoption at supply of the RF Armed Forces.
The first stage of state tests took place in the city of Lomonosov at the experimental base of the Research Institute of Rescue and Underwater Technologies of the All-Russian Scientific Center of the Navy "Naval Academy", during which the completeness, technical condition, weight and size characteristics, sufficiency and quality of test equipment and tools were checked. In addition, the functionality and systems of the apparatus were checked. In particular, measurements of the speed of movement of the underwater robot by march, lag and vertical displacement, as a result of which it was concluded that the declared indicators are fully consistent with the results shown during the tests.
In addition to the speed characteristics, the quality of the video camera, lamps and video recorder was checked, various works were performed with the TNPA manipulator, and the operability was also tested when using the underwater vehicle for its intended purpose.
At the second stage of testing, "Marlin-350" confirmed the declared characteristics and performance at the maximum possible depth - 350 m in Golubaya Bay, in Gelendzhik. As a result, the maximum immersion depth achieved during the tests exceeded the declared indicators and amounted to 354 m.
In the process of state tests, the commission was able not only to evaluate the performance of the Marlin-350 ROV, but also to independently verify how easy it is to operate both underwater and on the surface. "Marlin" confirmed that it meets all the requirements of the Navy, and even surpasses them in some respects. During the GI, the device has established itself as lightweight, mobile, maneuverable and reliable.
According to the results of the State tests, "Marlin" was assigned the letter "O1" of the RKD for setting the product into mass production. Already in 2016, the Navy will receive 5 remote-controlled underwater vehicles "Marlin-350".
There are plans to expand the range of UOVs - the creation of devices with a working depth of 600 and 1000 meters, as well as the start of serial production of autonomous unmanned underwater vehicles.
