This Thursday, the first flight of the second fifth-generation experimental aviation complex took place at the training ground in Komsomolsk - on - Amur. In the world it is better known as the T-50 aircraft. The T-50 is being developed by the Sukhoi company. Significant financial resources have been allocated for the development of a promising aircraft that will be unmanned and completely invisible, work has been going on for more than one year, but at least another ten years will pass before the start of mass production, the aircraft will be built no earlier than 2025.
The flight of the second T-50 was successful, all the tasks were completed. The aircraft under control of the honored test pilot of the Russian Federation Sergey Bogdan was in the air for 44 minutes, after which it safely landed on the runway of the factory airfield. The PAK showed itself well at all stages of testing, during which the operation of the main systems of the aircraft and the stability of the power plant were assessed.

At the moment, the complex of preliminary ground and flight operations, in which all three prototypes participated, has been fully completed. The first flight of the PAK took place on January 29, 2010. Acceptance tests of the flight model were completed at the end of March 2010. After these tests, the ground stand and the first flight model of the aircraft were transported to the territory of the Sukhoi Design Bureau flight test base in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
After the completion of all preliminary tests, flights were started. A total of 36 flights were carried out.
The T-50 combines the functions of a fighter and an attack aircraft and has a number of unique features. The aircraft is equipped with a promising radar station with a phased antenna array and a fundamentally new avionics complex. The onboard equipment of the new aircraft allows real-time data exchange both within the aviation group and with ground control systems.
An unprecedented low level of radar, optical and infrared visibility is ensured by the use of innovative technologies and composite materials, as well as measures to reduce the engine's signature. This allows you to significantly increase the combat effectiveness in battle, at any time of the day, in simple and difficult weather conditions, both for air and ground targets.
