Checks have begun on the complaints of conscripts from the Kirov region in the military unit Borzya
Recently, one can often hear that the Kirov servicemen complain to their parents about hazing and poor maintenance in military units. Not so long ago, a message came from a military unit in the town of Borzya in the Chita region. 150 Kirov conscripts are serving there.
It was from this unit that the soldiers began to send SMS complaints to their relatives. The Kirov guys complained about beatings and thefts by colleagues, lack of control from the command and various hazing relationships. Complaints reached the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers and the Public Chamber of the Kirov Region. In this connection, the Public Chamber of the Kirov region went to the Public Chamber of the Trans-Baikal Territory with a request to exercise control over this part. As reported in the Public Chamber, the reaction of the command of the unit was immediate and checks on the facts stated have already begun.
But why the check was not carried out by the command of the military unit itself, why did the conflict go beyond the boundaries of one region? Some are sure that this is a benefit for the command of the unit, while others are sure that the recruits themselves are not adapted to serve in the army away from home.
In all likelihood, those guys who decided to get rid of bullying by means of complaints simply underestimated what military service is. After all, according to the Kirov reserve servicemen, after such complaints, service in the army for a soldier can even turn into hell.
Alexey Koritsin, reserve soldier:
- If hazing was not stopped by the leadership of the unit, then it was profitable. What does it contain? As a rule, these are not groundless mass beatings, but punishment for something. That was exactly how it was in our unit. Guilty, set up colleagues, did not understand something or refused to fulfill, it means that he got what he deserved. Moreover, such a measure is discipline. One senior, a lieutenant, and a couple of warrant officers will not be able to put things in order in the company, guided by one charter. This is where hazing (hazing) comes from. Some servicemen simply endure, realizing that this will soon stop, others prefer to tell their parents about the difficulties so that they can solve the problems.
Maxim Suradeev, reserve soldier:
- When the information that hazing occurs in the unit goes beyond its limits, the soldier automatically digs a hole for himself and his colleagues. Various inspectors will immediately begin to gather in the unit. The soldiers will begin to prepare for inspections both physically and theoretically, and this is a completely different service. I would even say changed not for the better. Anyone who taught the charter knows that there are a lot of subtleties and various nuances, according to which the service of a soldier can be much worse than under bullying. The check will pass, the command will receive several reprimands for the performance or some other moments, and this is all over. The further service of the soldiers will be even more difficult. And the beatings may continue.
There is also a second variant of the outcome of events, but it will not be reflected in the best way on the soldiers.
Maxim Suradeev:
- In another case, the guilty persons can be imprisoned, verified officers will be appointed in their place, and they will begin to make a showcase out of the usual part. Life according to the charter … And everything is prescribed there, down to which side the soldier should sleep on. The charter can complicate the service of a conscript several times. At the same time, no one will rule out that there may also be beatings and thefts in the unit. They will just beat more carefully so that there are no bruises left. And the inspectors will come to the unit all the time.
For a soldier who denounced his colleagues, everything can work out and be less tragic - he will not be beaten, but no one will communicate with him either.
Daniil Zosimenko, reserve soldier:
- You will simply spread rot … They will call you "bitch" or "red", and also just the company commander will not respect you. Information sometimes does not pass through it. Among the soldiers, such a person is simply rejected from society, no one will communicate with him. And this is a very serious psychological impact. At the same time, oddly enough, the soldier will not be touched, they will know that he is “knocking”. Unfortunately, bullying cannot be canceled, it has been and will be. They lifted us up at night, "rocked" us in dryers, whoever served knows what it is.
True, not all soldiers believe that bullying is a measure of education.
Daniil Zosimenko:
- Hazing is just a manifestation of strength, an indicator of who should be feared. This is the system of male society. If you want to mean something in this society and be strong - throw away fear and go ahead, fear no one, then the soldier will not know the word "hazing".
Over time, the state is trying to facilitate the service of "conscripts" by introducing various innovations. That only is the reduction of service to one year, the replacement of tarpaulin boots with ankle boots, the introduction of socks, a new form, and so on. Now soldiers are allowed to take a cell phone with them to the service, while sim cards are already issued at the collection point, from which you can call home at a favorable rate. But those who served do not see a positive result in such measures.
Andrey Lisin, senior warrant officer in reserve:
- Now the Russian army has turned into a sanatorium. For the soldiers, civilians will soon begin to walk and clean up. In the unit where I served until recently, they are already considering such an option - to hire civilian personnel for the kitchen, to hire cleaners at the location … I think this is wrong. All these outfits and various actions, which, as it seems at first glance, have nothing to do with military service, educate soldiers, instill in them a love of order and cleanliness, and hence certain character traits. Now the young people who go to the army are simply weak and spoiled. Complain about everything they can. During my military service, it was like this - try to blurt out something superfluous … And not boys and not young men left the army, but real men, able to stand up for themselves, accustomed to order. Not like now. In the unit where I worked, 3 recruits escaped in just one month, while the soldiers served only a month. And our unit has never been distinguished by difficult conditions of service, on the contrary.
The "conscripts" themselves believe that the soldiers who run away from the unit and complain about the severity of their service are simply neither morally nor physically ready for such a life test.
Daniil Zosimenko:
- The soldiers simply cannot stand the male collective, the change of conditions. They just didn't live on their own. Mom and Dad cherished them, and when they got there, they begin to understand that they "got into a * bum." There are simply no friends here who will intercede and who are influential in the civilian world. Mom does not caress, as in civilian life.
Alexey Koritsin:
- When I got to the unit, during the first three days of my service 3 soldiers were imprisoned for hazing. One shot at himself, he wanted to go home as a hero, you fool. On guard, he said that his post was attacked and shot himself in the stomach. As a result, he went home not as a hero, but as a cripple. Then, when the next call came, there were "refuseniks" - those who immediately said that they would not serve and wanted to go home. Their service did not work out right away …
Each person has his own opinion about military service. Nobody can say how the life of this or that soldier will turn out after getting into a certain collective. But the authorities of the Kirov region decided to try to make the life of our soldiers safer.
On Monday, August 15, Nikita Belykh met with members of the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers. The meeting discussed the pressing issues of the army service, in particular the military unit in the city of Borzya. During the conversation, the governor suggested in advance in the teams sent to the military units from the assembly points, to determine the guys who will be responsible for operational communication with the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers and the Government of the region.
Operational information will be sent to the command of the units so that these soldiers have the opportunity to communicate freely with the Committee and the regional authorities and report problems in a timely manner. At the expense of the region, these guys will be provided with the necessary communication facilities. In addition, Nikita Belykh announced the intention of the Government of the Kirov region to develop a system of cooperation with the regions in whose military units Kirov conscripts serve.
