The only reason for the unsuccessful test launches of the Bulava ballistic missile is the violation of the technology for the production of missile systems. This was announced on the air of Echo of Moscow by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky.

He recalled that out of twelve launches of the newest rocket, only five were recognized as successful.

According to BFM, according to Vysotsky, work on the Bulava will be completed within a year. “There are good chances to successfully complete this work within the next year,” the commander-in-chief said.

Earlier, the chief designer of the missile, Yuri Solomonov, said that the main reasons for the unsuccessful launches of the promising Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile are poor-quality materials, violation of production technology and inadequate quality control. According to him, this version is supported by the fact that during the production of each prototype, the circuit design solutions did not change. At the same time, with each unsuccessful start, problems were detected in a new location. “In one case, poor quality materials are used, in the other, there is no necessary equipment to eliminate the“human”factor in manufacturing, in the third, inadequate quality control, Solomonov explained.

Bulava is the newest Russian three-stage solid-propellant missile designed to arm strategic missile submarine cruisers. The missile can carry up to 10 hypersonic maneuvering nuclear units of individual guidance, capable of changing the flight trajectory in altitude and course, and hitting targets at a distance of up to 8 thousand kilometers.
