So, we have finished the publication of materials about promising weapons of the XXI century, and as one of them, the attention of the readers was offered a rifle … the author's development EVSH-18 (Shpakovsky electronic rifle of the 2018 model). In general, this material has once again confirmed the correctness of the Pareto law that people divide in the ratio of 20 and 80, and the latter are often even read inattentively.
"Our answer to Martin Grier"
To begin with, the very first article was about the Martin Greer rifle, which the Pentagon became interested in and in which there were five barrels at once. And there and then came "criticism", the essence of which boiled down to the fact that in the United States this rifle is ridiculed by the Americans themselves. Wow, an argument … In some cases we write: "Well, they are stupid …" In others, we happily welcome their "stupid opinion." But it is worth remembering again the rule 80 and 20. The opinion of the former is worth nothing at all, and it is not at all surprising that … this innovation is ridiculed by people just like that.
However, let's return to the published materials. They talked about what trends exist in the development of the arms business, and in this case, the example with the development of Martin Greer, no matter how ridiculous it looks, against the background of all other publications suggests that this is also a trend to a certain extent. But after all, it was written in black and white that the development of such weapons can take place only when the bulk of the factories switch to automatic operation, and 3D printing technology with universal computerization of even the most ordinary things. It only seems strange today, but this is where everything is going. That is, logic dictates that weapons will be produced at the same factories as computers will do. And those countries that switch to this will turn out to be leaders, and everyone else will have to catch up with them. So maybe it would be worth thinking about this scenario in advance?
And now let us remember that there is a so-called "Code of Tyrants", which was cited by Bertrand Russell in his "History of Western Philosophy", and then by Academician N. Amosov in his article in the journal "Science and Life" No. 5 for 1989. Here are the provisions that it includes:
1. Do not allow the worthy to be nominated. Even to execute.
2. Prohibit joint dinners (consider - "abolish freedom of assembly").
3. Contain spies.
4. Make promises of a better life in the future.
5. Build public facilities to keep people busy.
6. To wage wars (or to prepare for them), as in this case the people need an autocratic leader.
And the provisions of this "Code" unequivocally say that for the sake of one's sole power one can and must wage wars and prepare for them. But … just not a nuclear missile war. The fact that it is impossible has already been understood by everyone on whom it depends. However, they talk about it all the time. Because it is beneficial to keep people on their toes. In fear … After all, a frightened herd is the easiest to manage. In fact, in the future, weapons will be created in the trend of science-intensive technologies, not so much for the sake of a real war, as … their dominance on the planet. That is, weapons will eventually be declared "environmentally friendly", "small lethal", it will be fabulously expensive and all this in order to … detach from competitors. Any attack with the use of traditional weapons (no matter how perfect it may be!) Will become in the eyes of world public opinion a manifestation of terrorism with all the ensuing consequences.
British soldiers are engaged in sighting SA-80 rifles, the image from the video camera of which is transmitted to the computer screen of the unit commander.
Accordingly, the death of 1-2 soldiers will already become a tragedy (we can already see this today!), And the loss of a tank or plane will mean the end of the local war! The soldiers - as, by the way, one of the commentators very rightly noted (it's good that at least one noticed this!) Will also become different. Here I specially posted an article about the theory of generations, which, by the way, is actively used in Russia in the field of PR and advertising and … shows its high efficiency. So soon Generation Z will come into adulthood, and then the children of Generation Z. And it will be a completely different world and … "other soldiers." And after a generation they will need other weapons, simply because the old one “sucks”.
Convenient "indestructible" smartphone on the wrist. Everything in the spirit of the day!
Accordingly, other, new technologies will be needed for it. That is why, by the way, I wrote here about the promising developments of the Penza State University. Fundamentally new and original bimetallic alloys have been developed within its walls - one of the commentators for some reason decided that it was for water pipes, and many other promising developments. It is here that a doctor of sciences, a professor works … who invented a device for pressing … one unit of a Kalashnikov assault rifle, without which before that every tenth assault rifle went to marriage, and it was very difficult to identify this marriage before shooting. That is, if he had not invented it, the quality of this product would have been much worse. So we have very high level specialists and we have different ideas. But the cost of some is very high, for example, only standardization of one development costs seven million rubles. In fact, it is a sheaf of papers! But the grant that needs to be worked out by demonstrating this rifle to Medvedev - as one of the commentators wrote about it (my imagination simply fades before the level of his insinuations about the critical situation of the author and his position as head of the PR and advertising department - I wonder where this is, I myself after all, I never wrote this in principle …) - this is nothing more than an invention. Although … I agree, that would be great. Basically!
And this one is at war with a laptop at all …
Well, and the large weight of the rifle, which many "critics" talk about, is nothing at all. It can always be reduced several times by using various promising, albeit expensive today technologies. And the number of trunks can be safely reduced to 10-15. 50 - this is to immediately "take out the brains" and see what happens in the end! The same applies to electronics … By God, people write God knows what, but they don't even go to the website of the agency DARPA. Meanwhile, as it is quite possible to look at all their active projects, and the results of them. You can even subscribe to their press releases.
I don't know what the soldiers will look like in 10-20 years, but where is it written that they cannot look like this? It's good for both left-handers and right-handers …
And today there are a lot of promising ideas. For example, here's one: replace traditional gunpowder in cartridges with hydrogen peroxide. This, of course, is about 80% peroxide, and not about the one that is used in our country for medical purposes. The advantage is that one liter of such hydrogen peroxide, when decomposed, gives up to six thousand liters of gas, and one kilogram of gunpowder - only one thousand! That is, it will be a propellant six times stronger than gunpowder. Ammunition - six times smaller or at the same size - more powerful. In addition, the temperature of the produced gas is 500 degrees, while that of gunpowder is 2500 - 3000 degrees. That is, it will also give a solution to the problem of barrel overheating when firing. And peroxide is much cheaper and easier to manufacture. What has become of the matter if it is so promising?
We load a cartridge with a grenade into a grenade launcher …
And what to do with the old weapon, which has been released for years to come? After all, no one needs a weapon by itself. They don't eat it, they don't drink it, they don't drive cars on it. Killing a neighbor is contrary to human nature and a sin from the point of view of religion. Therefore, it should be just in case … but there is no need to improve it especially. In addition, peroxide does not react well to metal. Therefore, its contact with the bullet and the sleeve must be excluded. This complicates the design, although with regard to ammunition for EVSh-18, this is the easiest to do. But most importantly, hydrogen peroxide decomposes rather quickly and turns into water. Smokeless gunpowder can be stored for decades, smoky and even centuries, but concentrated peroxide has 2-3 years of storage and that's it … We need a stabilizer and they are working on it now. How it appears will change a lot.
And this is how we shoot, using it as a light mortar!
By the way, it was not for nothing that one of the articles dealt with construction "from cubes". We'll have to repeat: everything that was discussed here, one way or another, has already been created and is working. Not in perspective, but already! Another thing is that - yes, something is very expensive, but something else is just entering life. For example, the Americans printed their favorite army Colt in 3D technology and its cost exceeded $ 2,000. We tried to make grenades for a 40-mm grenade launcher using the same technology, but … we encountered a number of difficulties. Although … they did it after all. In the beginning, it is always difficult to do everything new, but then … then the labor intensity drops, and along with it the price falls.
… and leave. Antabki, as it has already been written about, are rearranged.
Therefore, I will hasten to calm all the skeptics. Not tomorrow I will go to Medvedev with this rifle, and I do not urge anyone to give up the old, faithful Kalashnikov. But I would like to remind you that there was a time when the amount of knowledge doubled every 25 years, then 15, then 10, now it doubles every 5! According to the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education, it is FORBIDDEN to insert books published later than five years before the current academic year into the list of literature for undergraduate and graduate students. That is, the curriculum must be updated every year and, above all, its educational base. That is, I could have inserted books published in 2013 into my 2018 program, but already in 2012, literature should have been immediately excluded! And ten more years will pass, what will happen then?
Generation Z soldiers. By the way, everyone has a device for mounting a video camera on their helmet.
And the last thing. Yes, of course, specialists in their field should deal with each case. But experts often “swell in one direction”. And it's time to understand that the generation of ideas can also be a profession and it can also have its own professionals who have a rather rare ability to synthesize a large number of diverse materials.
