They say running from a sniper is useless. There is no sense, you just die tired. Funny, but very vital.
In this material, we will try to touch upon several aspects of training work among the personnel of certain units at once.
Precisely training, because these guys themselves will teach anyone the military wisdom, and they have repeatedly trained neighbors, both near and far, as instructors.
We were present at one of such exercises, the essence of which was very simple: to go out in squad to a given point, conduct reconnaissance, detect a conditional enemy, neutralize / neutralize a group of soldiers.
By the way, the beast runs to the catcher. In the article about the shortcomings of communication in the modern army, I said that as soon as I see something of ours / modern, I will say it. Here, I really saw these same "Crossbows". Enjoyed.
In principle, everything seems very simple. We went into position, looked around, clarified the task. The snipers went on their assignment, the rest of the group went on their own. We walked a couple of kilometers to warm up, spent some time at the range, shot blanks … In general, we have already seen such trainings, and more than one.
It's all about nuances, of course.
And the nuances lie in the fact that actually two or three hours of fermentation for the sake of two short moments: the first one will notice a group of "mines", or hit underfoot (unpleasant, I will say right away, but not fatal), and who will "burn whom" faster.
That's the whole short story. The movements of the group look rather strange and not entirely clear to non-specialists. Zigzags, loops … I twice misunderstood where they would go, respectively, I was punished with a middle-distance race.
The "minefield" at the edge of the "village" was not noticed. We, by the way, too, and settled in not the best place. The "mines" were activated remotely, by wire, but it was simply unrealistic to see them in such grass, and no one seemed to tell us.
In general, the first explosion of "mines" of the enemy, we somehow still filmed, and the second clearly conditionally destroyed our group of filming. I mean, it was covered with earth, grass and branches. We were on the slope below, so everything flew to us.
But the soldiers of the group, who guessed to send a scout, got off much easier than us: one conditionally wounded in the leg by a shrapnel. While the group was conducting fire contact with a conditional enemy, someone put a smoke screen (the smoke tasted very unpleasant), the fighter was dragged away to help him.
And then all the fun began, but we missed it, to put it mildly. Because while the assault group was firing on a conditional enemy, the snipers bypassed the whole thing, spotted all the enemies and they, the enemies, somehow ended very quickly.
This is a small war, but with meaning. In the video, everything turned out well, from our point of view.
Then there were serious practical exercises. In the sense of shooting combat. There was, however, a certain free element, especially for us. Watermelon as a target for SVK. One was set at the usual distance (in vain, our optics did not reach him), the second was killed closer. And for SVD there were several heads of cabbage. By the way, it is very indicative.
Well, then it's almost like in a movie:
If at first glance: SVK is a one-shot rifle. The roar, the earth flies in all directions, the grass … It seems that after the shot, they will thresh at this place from everything that can reach. Then you realize that if you shoot from 1-1.5 km, it's not all that bad and scary.
SVD after SVK looks quite frivolous.
The result, really … Well, it's not for nothing that it is still in service, isn't it?
They know how to do what they are.
In general, in the end, it is worth saying a few words about the real use of two such different systems together. It looks good. SVD allows you to hit everything on the head at a medium distance, and SVK - at a long distance. Plus, not every transport can withstand the hit of such a cucumber.
Strong guys. So much to pass / crawl for the sake of one or two shots … Strong not only in terms of physical training, but also in terms of nerves. After running after them along the hills and copses, you understand that running with them is one thing, but running away from them is completely different. Indeed, it makes no sense. They will get it anyway, just yes, you will die tired.
In general, they are very soulful and calm, even impenetrable, I would say. Perhaps because they themselves will punch through anything, perhaps they choose it on purpose. But what are these snipers.
