The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has published a manual that will guide the Russian military police when conducting special operations in Syria.
The duties of the "red berets", as they were dubbed for a striking object of uniform, will include the protection of Russian military personnel, primarily employees of the reconciliation center and sappers. Also, the Russian police will perform patrol functions and fight the terrorists that have not been killed by the Syrian army.
It is no secret that after the liberation of the cities from terrorist oppression, many secret agents of the militants remain there. Over time, these militants form underground terrorist cells, after which the question arises of re-cleaning the city by the military.
Russian police officers will prevent the spread of terrorist metastases. The Syrian military, who is leaving the city in pursuit of militants fleeing east, can rest assured that they are leaving the rear in the hands of professionals.
Red berets work within the centers for reconciliation of the warring parties and in their arsenal there are impressive possibilities for "forcing terrorists to peace" - these are special means and firearms.
Military experts note that the Russian military police in Syria is actually a completely new structure. It performs both the usual functions of the military police and a peacekeeping mission. It is very likely that the "red berets" will become a world precedent, and in the future it is from this unit that they will take an example in conducting peacekeeping missions around the world, and the blue UN helmets will sink into oblivion.
The Syrian army yesterday drove terrorists out of Palmyra and is advancing inland. ISIS leaders realized that the defeat of the group was inevitable, so they issued a directive on the transition to predominantly sabotage methods of struggle. The publication of the training manual of the Russian military police is a kind of response to the militants - the Russian Ministry of Defense is ready for any action on their part.
At the final stage of the war, it is worth acting without unnecessary haste, carefully preparing each subsequent step, not allowing terrorists to take advantage of even the slightest opportunity to turn the situation in their favor. The involvement of the Russian military police in Syria is a shining example of this strategy. Now we can say with confidence that the cities liberated from terrorists will remain as such, once and for all. I wish our guys good luck in their work!
