Our today's story will be about two-link tracked conveyors. And even in two guises, today and tomorrow.
As of today, everything is clear: we have transporters. And not just eat, they are still good and really, they are not afraid of mud, snow, or swamps. Even areas contaminated with radiation or some other rubbish, poorly compatible with human life, they also do not care. They will arrive and the cargo or personnel will be delivered.
In the most extreme case, they will swim. For they can too.
We were shown three such heroes at once. Let's start with the youngest. In general, they are all three from the Vityaz family. The only question is size.
So, Alyosha Popovich, aka DT-3PM.
The mass of the conveyor in the running order is 11 tons, the carrying capacity is 3 tons. It is absolutely safe to use a trailer with a total weight of up to 4 tons.
The number of seats in the cockpit of the first link is 5. The number of seats in the second link is 12.
"Heart" "Vityaz" - diesel with a capacity of 240 liters. sec., which provides a speed on solid ground up to 55 km / h, on wetlands up to 30 km / h, on water up to 6 km / h.
Hydromechanical transmission, automatic.
Cruising range up to 600 km.
Armament "Vityaz" is 7, 62-mm machine gun, but in principle, the transporter can be converted into a carrier platform of any weapon suitable in size and weight, from missile launchers to artillery guns and large-caliber mortars.
"Dobrynya Nikitich", aka DT-10.
The weight of this hero is already 27.5 tons. The capacity is 5 people in the cockpit and 57 people in the section compartments. And 10 tons of cargo.
The engine is already more serious, 710 hp. with. The car can move on solid ground at a speed of 45 km / h, in a swamp 23 km / h, swim at a speed of 6 km / h. Cruising range of 700 km.
The armament also consists of a machine gun, and just like its younger brother, the DT-10PM can be converted into a platform-carrier of weapons.
"Ilya Muromets", aka DT-30PM.
You can't even take a picture of it, it doesn't fit into the lens. Simple huge.
Conveyor weight 29 tons. It can carry a cargo of 30 tons "in especially harsh climatic conditions of the Far North, Siberia and the Far East". Plus 5 seats. Heavy truck. Very heavy. But very helpful.
Engine 710 HP provides a speed of 37 km / h on the ground and 4 km / h on water. Cruising range of 500 km.
Today, this trinity of "Knights" personifies our transport force in any area that can only be reached by tank. But even a tank that has climbed into such terrible places, which abound in the vastness of our country, needs fuel and everything else. We are simply silent about people. Useful heroes.
And you can't say clumsy. Two-link is a very handy thing. Ascents and descents up to 35 degrees, obstacles up to 2 meters high - about nothing. Will pass. Slopes up to 25 degrees are also not terrible. With very impressive maneuverability.
But at the exhibition we saw another sample.
This is GAZ-3344-20. A model created on the basis of the GAZ-3344 snow and swamp vehicle specifically for the needs of the Ministries of Defense and Emergencies.
Currently, GAZ-3344-20 is undergoing (very successfully) State tests.
What are its main differences from "Knights", you ask? The fact that it is smaller, even than the DT-3PM, is evident. But just the size is the essence.
The performance characteristics almost do not differ from the GAZ-3344, the engine is the same, the Yaroslavl diesel with a capacity of 189 hp, the same automatic transmission from "Alison" (I don’t know if this is good, or not very much in our time), the same the mass is 7.5 tons, but the payload is already 3 tons. The same 5 people in the first link and 12 in the second.
Speed on the ground 60 km / h, on the water 6 km / h.
The transportable fuel reserve has been increased, now the vehicle's range is 800 km. The suspension and the work of the hydromechanical group have been significantly strengthened.
The secret of the machine is that the total width of the body (a little more than 2 m) allows it to pass along forest roads designed for Belarus tractors, whose width is from 1, 6 to 2 m. That is, in forests where there are standard glades, GAZ-3344-20 will pass quite normally. Yes, the same GT-30 will simply pave a new road, but this does not always make sense. In addition, the track gauge corresponds to the railway track adopted in Russia, respectively, if it is necessary or impossible to pave its way in a different way, the GAZ-3344-20 will be able to pass along the rails. In our country there are many places where there are railways, but there are no others.
The car is very comfortable. There is both a heater and an air conditioner for those in the compartments. Plus, all of this can be enhanced, depending on the customer's requirements.
At first (and at second, too) glance - a very grasping machine for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the military.
Especially in a country where there are many where there are no roads, but only directions.
