The Belarusian Research and Production Private Unitary Enterprise (UP) "Tetrahedr" in October this year held demonstration firing of the modernized T381 combat vehicle T381 of the mobile short-range air defense system T38 Stilett at the Domanovo range, Janes Missiles and Rockets reports.
The autonomous mobile air defense system T38, jointly developed by the Tetraedr Unitary Enterprise and the Ukrainian design bureau Luch, is a variant of the modernization of the Osa mobile air defense system.
T38 "Stiletto" is intended for the defense of units of the Ground Forces, industrial and military facilities from strikes of all types of modern and advanced air attack weapons flying at extremely low, low and medium altitudes with an effective dispersion surface of 0.03 sq. m and more.
The complex is based on the OSA-1T autonomous mobile air defense missile system 9K33-1T (on the MZKT-69222 chassis) offered by the Belarusian manufacturer and the new two-stage T382 missile developed by the Luch design bureau. SAM is still under development. For this reason, the demonstration was carried out using a standard 9M33M3 rocket of the OSA-AKM system.
During the demonstration on October 4, two missiles launched by the complex hit targets, which were a corner reflector and an IVTs-M1 air target simulator. During tests on October 7, three missiles successfully hit targets again (two corner reflectors and an IVTs-M1 air target simulator). The tests took place in the presence of representatives of a number of foreign countries, who were able to familiarize themselves with the modernized T381 combat vehicle and the layout of the new T382 missile.
The first demonstration fires using the new two-stage missile and the T381 combat vehicle are scheduled for mid-2012.
The T38 complex includes the T381 combat vehicle, the T383 transport and loading vehicle, the T384 alignment vehicle, the T385 maintenance vehicle, the T386 automated control and test mobile station (AKIPS), and the T387 ground equipment set (KNO).
The air defense missile system is capable of hitting targets moving at speeds up to 900 m / s at altitudes of 0, 025-10 km. The probability of hitting the target of one missile defense system is 0, 9, the maximum slant range of target destruction is 20 km, the maximum course parameter of the targets hit is 10 km. The time for the folding / deployment of the air defense system is 5 minutes.
Unitary Enterprise "Tetrahedr" was founded on April 26, 2001. The enterprise specializes in the development and production of advanced electronic weapons systems, software and hardware used in control systems for radar and electronic systems, as well as modernization of anti-aircraft missile systems.
