Representatives of the Promtekhnologii group of companies reported on the preparations for the launch of a completely new rifled weapon, which possesses unique tactical and technical data. The creators of the new model of the rifle, called ORSIS, claim that there are no analogues to their product not only in Russia, but throughout the world. The Promtechnologii Group of Companies is a private Russian company established in 2009 to implement a number of high-tech and innovative projects in the development and manufacture of modern weapons systems.
As a trigger mechanism, the rifle uses a sliding bolt with manual reloading, in single-shot and multi-shot versions, as well as in several dozen calibers. According to the main indicator for high-precision weapons - accuracy of fire - ORSIS rifles demonstrated high results at a level not exceeding 0.5 arc minutes. Also, Promtekhnologii offers a completely unique opportunity for Russia to manufacture custom-made rifled weapons in any design and with the specified tactical and technical characteristics.
Alexey Sorokin, General Director of the Promtechnologii group of companies, said: “We were able to create a truly unique weapons production with a complete cycle, which is the best in Europe in terms of technical equipment. Our products are objectively superior to their foreign counterparts in a number of indicators. The task of Promtekhnologii, which is set for the near future, is to replace foreign products on the Russian market with more diverse and high-quality samples of domestic production."
The enterprise is equipped with innovative equipment with integrated programmed numerical control. Particular attention is paid to the production of barrels, since it is this part of the small arms that is of paramount importance to ensure the accuracy of shooting. ORSIS rifle barrels are made of special grades of chromoly and stainless steel. Currently, equipment is being debugged, production and technical testing of prototypes, and their certification. Already in May 2011, it is planned to hold a presentation of tactical, hunting and sporting models of ORSIS rifles.
At the current time, the enterprise has completed the necessary operational stage of launching a unique project to organize the production of new high-precision hunting and sporting rifled rifles, including special-purpose combat rifles. Modern production equipment combined with the most advanced technologies will allow the company to produce an expanded range of military and civilian small arms, surpassing the best foreign counterparts in many technical characteristics.
In the near future, the launch of modern high-tech serial production of small arms of the ORSIS model will provide the military and civilian market of Russia with products of world quality, as well as strengthen the positions of domestic manufacturers in the world market. In addition, this will make it possible to organize a system of supplying high-quality products for special units of Russia, independent of export receipts - the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of Defense, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments, the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
