At the dacha of the leader - repair and mixing of eras
Approximately halfway between central Sochi and Adler, there is the Green Grove sanatorium. Picturesque houses are scattered over the hills, beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. But buses that constantly bring people here do not come here for the sake of these beauties. On the territory of the sanatorium there is an object "Stalin's Dacha".
This is the last (fifth) dacha of the leader. Two are located in the suburbs. Two more are in Abkhazia. This summer cottage is built in the same style as the previous ones and is painted in the same green color.
Now the walls have been painted with new paint. But its composition, after research and analysis, was made exactly like during construction.
Everything is mixed in the rooms. If you look at the pictures taken in May, you can see how the exhibits have moved. Some are hidden altogether. The country house is undergoing major repairs. After the death of the leader, the buildings were practically not dealt with. They did not rise to break a hand, and there was no money to keep in the museum order, and there was no great desire either. Even in Soviet historiography - Khrushchev and Brezhnev times - Stalin was considered a tyrant. With such an attitude, who will spend the budget on the memory of Joseph Vissarionovich?
But ordinary people kept their memory. We tried not to damage the complex. So the interior decoration came down to us in its original form. Valuable types of wood, tightly and tastefully fitted to each other by Soviet cabinetmakers, convey the atmosphere of the greatness of power and enthusiasm of those years of our Motherland. All the details have been preserved - mirrors, fittings for doors and windows, lamps, wall and ceiling decoration elements.
And as soon as the opportunity presented itself, the dacha was leased to a private investor. Overhaul began under the supervision of the cultural heritage preservation authority. The restoration is proceeding according to the drawings and descriptions of the thirties. Some of the windows, which were replaced in Soviet times, the wooden elements of open loggias, replacement of electrical wiring and heating pipes, and renovation of walls in the premises of the cinema and security rooms will have to be changed. There is very little space left for inspection. But tourists bring down the shaft. And although for many Stalin does not cause trepidation, but serves only as an object with which to take a "selfie", such a memory is still better than oblivion.
Reporters also come here. Here they recall the case with the Ren-TV channel. The film crew was so carried away by the search for secret passages and torture chambers that they even broke a real Stalinist table lamp with a green shade. In exchange they sent another - blue. She is now standing on the leader's table. But the writing instrument is original. It is believed to be a gift from Mao Zedong.
There is now a restaurant at Stalin's dacha. Here the favorite dishes of Joseph Vissarionovich are advertised. Rooms are also rented next to the office of the leader of the peoples. Prices - from eight to sixteen thousand rubles per night. And people live in the rooms.
In general, we need a real museum with a large number of exhibits. Times will pass, and we will begin to understand many things in their true light. And the role of the creator of a powerful state will not seem sinister to us.
